It was probably duct tape instead of medical tape!

Or, with the same stuff my mom always treated my injuries with. Vicks vapor rub! Chest cold, knee bruise, or a banged up elbow. Get the vapor rub!

In some ways my favorite year on this planet. My dad wouldn't pay any attention to us unless it involved football. How I became a fan. 79 was the first year that I remembered anything.. And the Rams were the first team That I remember. Consequently Ferragamo became a legend to me. As did Billy Waddy and of course Jack Youngblood. I watched that game.

I turned the TV off prior to that Rams possession with 2 or three minutes left,I just knew they were going to lose.My older buddy said no you don’t give up on your team and turned it back on,I could hardly believe it when Waddy went gliding into the end zone with that ball! What a great win that was, ended Staubachs career!!

I still think of Roman Gabriel and the Fearsome Foursome back in the Coliseum when I was a young lad. Those were the days.

This is partly the effect of the current salary structure .. with all those millions out there, few want to risk even a hangnail getting in the way of their earnings potential. Not saying that's wrong, but it does impact mindset
GR .. shaken not stirred

As I mentioned in another thread, I was experiencing flashbacks while watching Terrance Ferguson's highlights, with the announcers repeatedly referring to (Oregon QB Dillon) 'Gabriel' dropping back and passing.

Deacon Jones once dislocated his thumb during a game in the late 1960s, yet he kept on playing while having a teammate push it back into the socket between plays, every time it was knocked loose due to the game's impacts.

There weren't all too many 'business decisions' back then... :? :x :geek:

RAM SEASON!!

I don't buy Rams jerseys anymore. Me purchasing a jersey is like being on the cover of Madden.

Here's my resume....

Kevin Greene - 2 years later. Gone.
Jerome Bettis - 1 year later. Gone.
Sam Bradford - 1 year later , blown up knee.

Ill let you guys tell me who's jersey you want me to purchase!

Just buy retired guys, like me… (new logo hat was a gift, as I wouldn’t spend a penny on new crap)

My all-time favorite (AD99 has become a close 2nd), and one of the reasons that I became a Rams fan from Pennsylvania.
