I'm thinking back to the time period from the second Rams-49ers matchup of 1990 through the second one of the '98 season.

The 49ers won seventeen straight games vs. our team during that span, much of the time being openly contemptuous of the Good Guys, including that 'Same Old Sorry-Ass Rams ...

While I like the idea of a shut-down CB, we don't want to piss away draft capital or commit to an expensive resource eating contract.

Probably wiser to grab a decent CB in the draft.

I don't have a strong opinion either way...Shough, Dart, etc. I don't like the idea of our 1st rounder being a QB. We have a QB for the next 2 years. We need someone that can help us get to the SB and not someone that has a 50% chance of success in 3 years.

Aside from 6 games vs. Car, NO, Tampa, they have all 4 teams in the NFC West, Bills, Commanders, Vikings. They could also drop one or two to the Fins, Colts, Pats. If they split in their division and the NFC West that's like 7-8 wins which is good for #12 or #13-ish like they were this year ...

More pressure is good, and Stewart looks strong, but other NFC West teams have also built up their edge pressure. If either of the Rams starting tackles go down, Stafford will be a sad panda.
