Even if he would have improved the secondary, the Rams should not have matched that type of return for him.

$26.6 Million this season w THIS guy?

Yikes

Rooney had to lose a bet on this one. Probably golfing while drinking 🤷🏻‍♂️I mean they gave the guy $1.5 M in addition to current contract. lol. JR is the master at selling himself, that is for sure.

2025 Pittsburg ‘Has Beens’ Steelers

Pretty pricey season for maybe one playoff appearance imo. I just dont see AR or JR making it through a full season.

I think Ramsey being traded to Pittsburgh ends up being a very good trade for the Rams………..

McVay on Emmanuel Forbes: “He’s got great movement. He’s got a really good concept trigger. You can see the ball production where he’s doing things that had never been done before at the collegiate level in terms of being able to get your hands on the ball and then go score. I’ve really been pleased with him. There’s been a lot of positive guys that have really stood out or really kind of taken their game to another level. I’m looking forward to seeing once we put the pads on and getting into some of the preseason games, let’s continue to apply that. But been really pleased with Emmanuel and he’s done a great job.”

Way too much for to consider? LOL. They mean what team is WAY TOO STUPID to do that deal, and it ain't the Rams. I guarantee you if we were flushed w CAP space funds, we still would not have paid JR even close to that amount.

Thanks for shoppin. I would have been annoyed if we payed the man more than $15M! Guys body cant keep up w his head and mouth... one is definitely out running the other (and it aint his body)

Good pal of mine is a die Steeler fan (he literally painted his house in the Steelers colors here in orange county). And he's livid. I texted him when the news was announced and he text back (let me copy and paste this reply😂)

"Are they F'ing kidding us? Tomlin is so desperate to be 'the coach' again, that hes now reaching into the geriatric pool, grabbing WHOEVER he can snag, and blowing our team up one new has been player at a time. Even worse, we are paying this old dudes TOP tier money. We are screwed and I am PISSED. Rooney has lost total control of this team"

Yes. I wouldn’t even consider that. For me, as soon as that number was mentioned or I realized the cost, I would have hung the phone up and blocked calls.

SNEAD: "I am sorry, did you say $16M?... I am losing you... I could have swore you said $16M and if you did, thats a bit more than we are willing to spend... we are looking more at the $13-15M range.... ..... WAIT WHAT... I thought you said $16M, but now it sounds like you just said $26M?!... Now I know we are having connection issues, because I could have swore you just now said "$26.6M............. SO NOW IT IS $26.6M FOR ONE SEASON, oh this was the going rate all along?.... Can you hold on for one minute...

'CLICK'.

AGENT: " Hello, Les, you there buddy?... Hello? Guys, I think Les just hung up on us"

Good let's move on; time to focus on our Oline. We need a reliable LT. Do we have one?

Exactly who does this deal? Seriously he is a solid to really good DB but no way worth 26m and the compensation is stupid. Makes us look dumb for letting him go for so little our compensation besides draft picks was a guy who literally caught 2 passes in his NFL career and was awful on the Rams

Exactly right by having a warchest of $ for a rainy day is super smart. Yes imo we need an upgrade at the DB spot but like many have said we need to focus on the tackle spots. Just imagine we traded for Ramsey and sure the CB room would be upgraded but we find out neither Quesenberry or Humphries are not cutting it in training camp what would we do we would have zero $ to address this. Sometimes inactivity is a blessing and in this case McVay/Snead did the right thing and let the market come to them.

Jalen is now the second highest paid CB in all of football (in image below, this does not account for his total Revised compensation)

Damn, this guy is one hell of a salesman.

IMO, these are the types of contracts that get people fired.

BrooklynRam74 wrote: June 30th, 2025, 8:54 am All current resources or i should say, most, need to go into backup plan at Offensive Tackle. There's Alaric's situation that stretches from missing no time to retirement (no clue) and there's ancient, old-man, last remaining ST. LOUIS Ram Havenstein. Keep that spendable 10-20 Million at bay in case of Emergency. Being bad at Tackle can torpedo a Super Bowl season. We got vets like Stafford and Adams that are a year at a time.
agreed, but somebody's going to need to tackle in that secondary

We don't need him. Let's focus on the continued development of the guys that we already have. Besides, we're going to need that money to re-sign some guys.

This might be Tomlin's last year. Not sure how much say he had in the decision but sounds like they are "all in" this season with a has been CB. It will be interesting to see what Rodgers does this year.

Could you imagine, being all in with this current Steelers roster? Good lordy! Especially against teams like us, the Chiefs, and about five other teams…

I’m gonna say this right now… The Steelers MAY get a wild card spot. Maybe get lucky and win the wild card, but not going anywhere close to SB.

I find it interesting that no one is talking about the mouth’s on Aaron Rodgers and Ramsey… if this team loses, you best believe these two are gonna bitch and moan and be complete cancers to the Steelers organization. Implode begins!

Good luck to this coaching staff, trying to manage these guys. I just don’t see Aaron Rodgers continuing down the path that he’s always gone (in doing things his way)… Tomlin does not seem like the type of coach to put up with those antics…

I truly hope HBO ‘Hard Knocks’ follows this team this summer… because I can’t think of a team that’s even close to the drama this team’s gonna be involved in

Actually, I suppose that it makes the McVay/Snead regime seem slightly less stupid by comparison; our team would look even more foolish except that the third-round draft pick the Rams acquired turned out to be a solid selection (Byron Young).

Four years later, Jalen Ramsey now finds himself on another team apparently heading into an 'all-in' season, I'm highly doubtful that this time around will prove to be quite so successful... :? :x

RAM SEASON!!

With the Steelers going all in, look for them to fall flat on their face. The geriatric signings are not the same as what the Rams did.

In the AFC north, I think the Ravens are still better, the Bengals haven’t lost many players, and the Browns may finally show some improvement.
Cant wait to see Metcalf lose his shit when Rogers doesn’t deliver.
