With the 46th pick, the Rams select...

Post by SheepNoMore »

Nick Emmanwori, Will Johnson and Donovan Ezeiruaku will be gone but, the way teams have drafted for need, there may be some surprise picks available.

CB - Shavon Revel, Trey Amos (not likely available) or back to FSU for Azareye'h Thomas
WR - Burden (not likely available), Jayden Higgins, Jaylin Noel
TE - Taylor or Arroyo
LB - Carson Schwesinger

We need all four positions. IMO we need ILB the worst but without knowing who is going to fall it's really hard to tell which way we will go.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they trade back again to recoup the lost of 101.

But if they can do this………….

Rams #46 = ( 440 points ) traded to.......

Denver #51 (390) & #120 (50)

Tampa Bay #53 (370) , #121 (52), & #157 (28) - with Rams including #202

Green Bay #54 (360), #124 (48), & #159 (27 approx)

I would go with either a #1 CB, preferably Trey Amos (Ole Miss), or ILB Carson Schwesinger (UCLA), both positions are critical for our team's "D" this year... :? ;) :geek:

Kind of agree. We have a talented roster and a bunch of late 2nd and 3rd rounders might not become starters. But as Norcal suggested we might only move down 5 spots or so to add another pick. I'd only do that if they have a bunch of players rated equally at positions of need.

13 players will come off the board before the Rams pick tomorrow. Only 3 CB's got drafted in the 1st so teams will probably start looking for corners although it's entirely possible Revel or Amos fall. On the other hand, The Bears #39 and Colts #45 took TE's so we might have our choice of TE3 at #46.

The bottom line is a CB could fall, we could take one of the remaining top rated TE's or someone like WR like Luther Burden or OT Aireontae Ersery. I'm glad I don't have to put money on this because I have no idea.

I’m liking Schwesinger! We could use a sure tackler at the 2nd level. Also, local connection to UCLA.

I would not be shocked...I am just not sure who it would be to jump a few spots. Maybe a Trey Amos but we already a 3rd round to Falcons correct?

And to answer the original post...I think it will be Trey Amos (if available), Arroyo, or Schwesinger.

I expect another trade down at 46; Snead won't be able to resist the temptation.

Jack Bech - WR - TCU
...if we don't (or even do trade back), this is who I suspect the Rams will draft in round 2. But of course Schwesinger would be nice .

That's what I was thinking. It's going to be painful watching these guys come off the board until 46. Watch the Niners grab Amos or Ersery.

The 5th rated TE from Oregon.

Oh well, I trust Snead and McVay but I wanted Amos.

Ughhh I hate this pick. You got a plug n play CB in Johnson sitting right there and you take a 2nd or 3rd TE. Bad pick.

By the time we address the middle/back end, we’ll be selecting from the Reeder’s and Rozebooms out there.

The Rams could have had either CB Trey Amos or ILB Chris Paul Jr., his teammate at Ole Miss, instead they drafted a seemingly limited-ability TE.

I'm mystified by that decision, I must admit... :o

I like the pick. Te is a glaring need. We had absolutely zero production from the te position last year until higs came back late in the season. He looked good when he came back but he is not getting any younger and has a bad injury history now. He won't make it trought 17 games. So, te it is.
