9ers Ain't Very Good
More lucky than good, the 9ers come into SOFI with swag and unmerited bravado. This is still an average offense that runs well and never quits. Great coach with a so-so QB but hardly a team that strikes fear in opponents. Samuel is their best player and Raheem needs to find a way to shut him down. Lucky to win with a blocked punt vs GB, Jimmy will have to score a bunch to beat the peaking Rams.
Rams offense will be too much for them. I expect a wire to wire victory.

Re: 9ers Ain't Very Good
come on SB you know damn well they are a good team. it's ok to hate them like we all do but let's stop the nonsense about calling them lucky and not good.Safety Blitz wrote: ↑January 25th, 2022, 10:37 am More lucky than good, the 9ers come into SOFI with swag and unmerited bravado. Re: 9ers Ain't Very Good
What a bleeping ridiculous thread. One could argue, no matter how hard it is to say it, that they are the best team in the NFC when healthy…………..

Re: 9ers Ain't Very Good
LOL god damn it man . We can hate the niners all we want but they are NOW a top 2 team in the NFC and a top 4 in the LEAGUE . They keep winning games despite having a mediocre qb . their coaching staff is as good as ANY in the league , they have an extremely good and aggressive defense and probably the most physical WR / RB ( deebo ) and TE ( kittle ) in the league .

Re: 9ers Ain't Very Good
The 49ers have decent personnel overall, not championship level by any means, however they do have superior coaching which manages to keep them focused on playing hard for an NFL game's full 60 minutes.
In their last three victories, the head coaches they faced (Sean McVay, Mike McCarthy and Matt LaFleur) point-blank were unable to do that with their more talented teams.
Did McVay learn any lessons from the Rams' critical, pathetic collapse vs. the 49ers in their regular-season finale?
"Stay tuned..." :( :P

I don't think the niners are all that good. Problem is they think they are when they play us. They don't quit that's for sure.

Re: 9ers Ain't Very Good
and of course by you the 9ers are mere "pretenders" who were going to get walloped by dem cowboys by at least 10...I don't think you are a great judge of overall team talent...Commish wrote: ↑January 25th, 2022, 2:41 pm The 49ers have decent personnel overall, not championship level by any means, however they do have superior coaching which manages to keep them focused on playing hard for an NFL game's full 60 minutes.

Re: 9ers Ain't Very Good
I too do not think the 9ers are that great mainly based on their QB. It is their DL, power run game and great HC that helps even out his erratic play.
This time around I feel our Offense is clicking on all cylinders, we are at home, Von and OBJ have found their groove. Whit and Jones should be back and Cam has 2 more games under his belt. If we don't turn the ball over we win and convincingly imo.

Re: 9ers Ain't Very Good
the 9ers have 5, 1st round picks on their DL...they have the most versatile offensive threat in Deebo Samuel...it ain't all smoke and mirrors gentlemen they have talent...even if some on this board don't want to see it...

Re: 9ers Ain't Very Good
The 49ers aren't that fu cking good!! Like someone said, they are more freakin lucky than anything else. They run 5 fu ck ing plays....Pitch left. Pitch right, Pitch middle run, screen pass, 5 yard crossing pass. I've seen that lame s h I t every damn game they play. (Watch the tape). Rams need to go out there Sunday and take a pissed off attitude with them and beat those sorry MF ers into submission. This Rams team has peaked and it would not surprise me that the 41 we should have hung on the Buccaneers, we gonna hang it on them Sunday.

Re: 9ers Ain't Very Good
well if they 'only' run the five same plays and everyone, including the geniuses watching, know what is coming and it still can't be stopped then I guess it is talent that is racking up all the wins...no body wants the Rams to beat the 9ers more than I but to say the 'team' beyond the QB is not loaded with talent ain't seeing reality...go Rams!

Re: 9ers Ain't Very Good
If not for our team's big-time 'choke' in their regular-season finale, the 49ers wouldn't even have been in the postseason.
Of course, Kyle Shanahan has been 'living in in Sean McVay's head' for the past three years, I've stated that on numerous occasions already.
Take away those two 'automatic' wins for the 49ers and they're 8-7 for the rest of the 2021 regular season, including winless (0-4) vs. the rest of the NFC West.
Coaching and game preparation by coaching staff are critical factors in NFL contests (as shown by the Bills' recent loss to the Chiefs), ones that can contribute to a team with less talented personnel overall defeating one with better players in general.
Mike McCarthy clearly didn't have the Cowboys ready to perform anywhere near their top efficiency in their NFC 'wild card' collapse, that much was blatantly obvious. A week later Matt LaFleur certainly wasn't able to get Aaron Rodgers to perform anything like the league's Most Valuable Player in the Packers' divisional-round defeat--if he had, their putrid kicking game wouldn't have mattered all that much.
I've never criticized Shanahan's coaching of the 49ers, he's done an exceptional job, I don't dispute that.
So there you have it--still, as a long-time, true-blue Rams fan, I take the historic arch-rivalry seriously, I'll always intensely dislike the 49ers... :o :x

I hope we beat them 42-0 and believe it’s possible but until we actually beat them for real, I can’t say with a straight face that we’re the better team.

They will bring game on Sunday and we better bring more then them if we want the W...

Re: 9ers Ain't Very Good
They are good and we better bring it physically and mentally to beat them. That being said we are the better team and if we play clean and don't let them run all over us we should win by 10 plus points.....
