Baltimore Stomped Us in 2019

Post by therealheadslap75 »

Baltimore 2019 may have been Mcvays worst ass kicking, we couldn't do anything against them, it was shocking how unprepared we were for Lamar Jackson and the RPO.

jackson threw for 5 tds
Baltimore ran for almost 300yds (yes I said 300)
AD had half a tackle no sacks
Goff threw 2 picks no tds

a through thorough ass kicking

they are a proud tough team

I hope we are prepared better this week.

The 2019 Rams had no running game because of OL injuries. The 2021 Rams have Floyd and Miller on the edges now. The 2021 Ravens are injury riddled; and even if Jackson plays, he will not be 100%. With that being said, I still expect this to be a tough game because it is in Baltimore; and I respect Harbaugh and his coaching staff.

Back-to-back early East Coast games followed by the 49ers...then the playoffs. Let's see how well we cope.

I'm also of a mind these are 2 very different teams from their last meeting.

I would like LA to prove they can shut down a young, mobile QB (Huntley is pretty much a Jackson clone).

This will be a good test; I want to see the Rams slay both dragons in the next 2 weeks and ride momentum into the play offs.

I'm being a touch persnickety here, however I occasionally taught high school geography in my career, so I'll point out that Minneapolis isn't exactly an "East Coast" city, it's in the center of the continental U.S.A. in terms of east vs. west.

Still, I understand your point that it was a 10:00 a.m. PST start (12 noon CST), as the Ravens game has been moved forward to also be (1:00 p.m. EST). Hmmmm, perhaps the league does that to the Rams with opponents that wear purple.

These last two regular-season contests look to be challenging for our team, although both of its opponents have injuries which may prevent their starting QBs from playing, or at least from performing at top efficiency.

If the Good Guys can win these final two matchups (Ravens & 49ers), at least they'll have home field advantage in the 'wild card' round of the NFC playoffs, possibly even beyond that.... :) 8-)

ram pathos...

Just look at the game film from both Ravens Match-ups with the Bengals and there's your game plan..
As long as we don't make mistakes and hand them points and MO... I believe our D will get off the field more frequent then there's and we should win by 10+ minimum...

No disrespect RH75, But what does 2019 have to do with 2021? Almost completely different teams.

Ravens will always be tough, but they are not only decimated by injuries, their pass D is ranked 32nd in league. Dead last.

This is a game we have to dominate. No excuses. We are in better shape and we'll have most of our guys back. Now, IF Lamar plays, they may have a shot. But I doubt he plays, and if he does, he wont be 100%. Our issue is, we dont do well w the dink and dunk stuff, Ravens like the 49ers like that garbage. That is the one area we could be susceptible to risk.

Bottomline, we need to head east and kick some butt. If we are REALLY Superbowl contenders, we dont lose games like this. NFL moved this game out of primetime because they believe this is not going to be competitive match up.

Im NOT saying this will be a cake walk, but if Stafford has his damn head on straight and our D plays like they have lately, we will be ok. BUT, lets not exacerbate this. We just need to play good football, own TOP and Stafford needs to pull his head out of his pooper.
2yrs vs 22 yrs? not really your best analogy DMR, its a fresh ass stomping and I'm sure its fresh in McVays mind, our coach is the same, his offense is the same, their coach is the same, their offense and defense are the same systems, I bet Jackson plays and I bet he still presents a problem

The bengals beat the ravens like they slap their grandmother so I thoroughly expect the rams to beat the tar out of The Raven Sunday

Funny how we just played and beat the Vikings who were on the cusp of the playoffs and we're now about to go play the Ravens who just got dumped out the playoff places by Miami and could lose their Playoff chances altogether if they lose to us.

We're destroying teams seasons these past few weeks.. Take no prisoners to become No1.

Man, that game was ROUGH.

Was a lot of those sorts of hopeless affairs under Spags and Fisher. But I had (thankfully) put that sort of stomping out of my mind once McVay took over.

But that team is a mess right now. Burrow put up 525 on what's left of their defense. I think they are cooked.

Stafford needs to remain calm under fire. Take a sack if need be or throw the ball away. No interceptions please.

Feed Michel and maybe Akers too?

Defense is just fine right now.

STs are beginning to look special.
