Why did they mutually agree?. Couldn't the Saints just keep him past the ATL game? Feels like they are actively trying to tank jmo.

We don't need to mess up our chemistry. He was here before and we let him walk for a reason. Baltimore might be his best option.

I believe they let him go because of career ending concussion concerns. I could be wrong. But it seems he has overcome that. He remains a really good route runner. He would add a new wrinkle of a threat. Because now you could have a serious deep threat in on every play.

Call me crazy, but I still believe in Atwell, who should be returning after Thanksgiving. Now that in general the ball is being spread around more, maybe Atwell’s skills can be used more comprehensively.

Plus, he’s been paid.

My post isn't to detract from Atwell.. Rather than add to him. Atwell wasn't be used all that much for whatever reason.. But to have two guys who can flat out run and catches everything to boot.. That's something. Especially if you have both on the field together occasionally. New. Scary wrinkle indeed.

I didn’t see pondering Cooks as Atwell detraction, and that could be a wild combination. But I think in general, and unfairly, Atwell has been such an afterthought. I feel like with how the offense has evolved since his injury that there could now be more comfort with integrating him more effectively, not just as a decoy or the occasional bomb, although that’s good too. He seems to be a solid team player.

Looking at his stats last 3 years it has fallen off a cliff not sure why but I guess it's age.
