Nate Landman (ave pff) + Troy Reeder (barely ave pff) = one great linebacker. This sort of smells like they are not going with LB early in the draft if at all?

This post is too funny I logged on to write this exact post but in the first person. Reeder became healthy and couldn't even reclaim his job. The management has a blind spot/Achilles heel for the ILB position. To prove my point all the Saquon long runs in 2 games. Is Reeder tracking him down I don't think so.

Question how many in the box LBs do we need all 3 Speights, Reeder and Landman are Mike LBs not one has the speed to cover not to mention all three are average to below average maybe Speights is a little better than average. Maybe if Starks makes it to us he could cover the TEs and RBs coming out of the backfield but he is a light 220 hybrid safety lb.

What is this management doing are they trying to go all in on a TE even with a small 5-6 team trade up that imo would be a mistake. Who knows what this means all I know I wouldn't have spent one dollar on Reeder. He is terrible I have said it for 3 years. I thought he was gone after last season.

I tend to agree McSnead probably has one of the top tight ends in mind? He can’t deal with the fact that his offense is pretty much inept and needs to show the world that he is still the offensive genius he was for a couple of years until the league figured out how to stop him.

In regards to Reeder I don’t think anyone gets it unless it is only to play ST. But most in here are intelligent enough to not call the winningest coach in team history a “imbecile”. Again most………..

To enter the season without an upgrade at ILB is just plain stupid, Now I know some of you will asked the dumb question "If you think you know more than the Rams organization then why aren't you a coach?" And what I have to say to that is you don't have to be a watchmaker to tell time. We can all see that the interior of this defense is pretty bad. I hope McVay gets his head out of his fourth point of contact and takes an ILB in one of our first three picks.

I am guessing they don't plan on starting him . It is depth and STs..... maybe even PS . Speights took his job last year and they never went back to him even after he recovered from the injury ..so I am not too concerned .

Exactly. He could just be camp fodder, or incentive for other LBs to work out a little harder during the summer.

To me he maybe depth all I see is taking a roster spot away from a possible emerging player with promise.

They're also going to be bringing in another 20 guys. Not all of them will stick. Don't know if Reeder will either.

Reeder was always JAG; but as he has gotten older, he has become a liability. The Rams defense got much better after he went down and that's the cold hard reality. Why sign him for depth? I'm really hoping they draft an ILB; but if they need depth, grab a bunch of UDFAs after the draft and maybe they get a hit like Speights. They have to easily be able to find someone cheaper and better than Reeder.
