Bottom post of the previous page:
As much as I don’t understand the Troy Reeder love this is the second time I’ve heard an opposing coach speak of him being a bull/load.

CB Witherspoon is out with knee injury.
Who is gonna cover 6’4” WRNico Collin’s? Hearing this late breaking news I am worried.

My understanding is you have to put a player on the injury report if he received any type of treatment for an injury. Good news that Stafford isn’t even on the report.

My thoughts are that this teams depth is the best it has ever been. The DL was great and this season should be even better with Fiske and Verse in their 2nd year. Adding Ford and Landmans are great run upgrades. DBs had a full off season and on offense we are retaining everyone plus adding Adams over Kupp was an upgrade and bringing back Shelton was smart, and adding strong backups in Hunter and Ferguson shores up two key areas. We are a complete team with very little holes if any. Never said that before. Most teams when they go down a level to their backups that is where they really falter our backups imo are overall the best in the league.
Barring injuries and rust we should win this game. I think our DL will destroy their OL that will be the key to the game.

Well, for Sean McVay's first five seasons as their head coach, the Rams were 5-0 in season openers, however they've only gone 1-2 over the past three years, which strikes me as quite worrisome.RonMac wrote: ↑September 1st, 2025, 2:35 pm
Rams under McVay are historically slow starters and no change to protocol to prevent this has occurred- with margins so tight losing games due to failure to come out prepared and with proper due diligence may be quite costly. Late season desperate runs to the playoffs will catch up to the Rams. Start early - ready and with a sense of urgency.
The Texans figure to be a big-time challenge for our team today, while I'm still concerned about how well Matthew Stafford's back is going to hold up once he's getting hit on a regular basis... :? ;)

I think this will be the typical "Rams-coming-out-flat-in-a-home-game" event.
On paper, I think the Rams should pound the Texans, especially with our strong D line going against a very weak O line of the Texans.
I would expect the Texans to dink and dunk a bit to slow the pass rush, but Christian Kirk is out for them. Mixon is out. I expect Stroud to get sacked at least 5 times.
Nico Collins would normally be a factor, but he's sort of the only threat they have at this point - so I would expect the Rams to give him a lot of attention.
After all that, I'm going to go with Rams 30-17. Super Bowl year. Just show up, play hard, and play like Champions!
