Pump the brakes folks
We still can win the division. 9ers lose sunday and beat seahawks week 18 us and Seattle 13-4 9ers 12-5. We have better division record than seahawks.
Seattle might lose to Carolina next week. Going to be tough for them to win both on road.

Re: Pump the brakes folks
It just stinks to have to depend on other teams losing. That’s what happens when you don’t close the deal on what should be a win. It’s happened a few times…

Totally agree. And when you think about this loss and the eagles loss , if we don't cash in on a championship season , those two losses will define this season.

Yep, and both those losses were ALL self inflicted … that’s the worst part to me.ADonaldBeast wrote: ↑December 18th, 2025, 9:30 pmTotally agree. And when you think about this loss and the eagles loss , if we don't cash in on a championship season , those two losses will define this season.
When you get beat straight up, it’s easier to accept that.
But when you constantly beat yourself, it’s the worst feeling …. ever.

Exactly. Not sure why everyone thinks Seattle and SF will never lose another game.

Yep , seattle's gonna find out how difficult it's gonna be to try to beat the panthers , especially after such an emotional win against us. Panthers are in playoff contention in must win that game.SoCalRam78 wrote: ↑December 18th, 2025, 9:38 pm Exactly. Not sure why everyone thinks Seattle and SF will never lose another game.

Pump the brakes. That's what McVay did when we took a 16 point lead in the 4th quarter.
The first. The original. The only UtahRam.

Re: Pump the brakes folks
49ers would have nothing to play for if they lose to either the Bears/Colts. So they’d rest vs Seattle. They have the WC tiebreak over the Lions.ADonaldBeast wrote: ↑December 18th, 2025, 9:20 pm We still can win the division. 9ers lose sunday and beat seahawks week 18 us and Seattle 13-4 9ers 12-5. Seattle might lose to Carolina next week. Going to be tough for them to win both on road.
If Seattle beats Carolina, then they either play a resting 49ers team for the title or they play a 49ers team where the winner gets the NFC West.
If Seattle loses to Carolina, and the 49ers win both of theirs then it’s 12-4, 12-4,12-4 heading into the final week. Rams would hold the TB over the Seahawks if Seahawks win. If 49ers win, then 49ers would hold TB over the Rams.
So Seattle basically has to beat Carolina or they won’t win the division. It comes down to that. And while there’s be like a 1% chance of Rams losing at home vs Arizona, I do wonder if Seattle were to lose to Carolina if they decide to rest vs the 49ers knowing they can’t win the division unless you’d get a miracle Arizona win over the Rams.
I just think the dynamics are against the Rams here when there is incentive for the 49ers to rest if they lose to Indy or Chicago, and there’s incentive for the Seahawks to rest if they lose to Carolina.
So I think you need Seattle to lose to Carolina AND for the 49ers to lose to Indy or Chicago. You need both those things to happen.
But Seattle losing to Carolina is an absolute must. And they should be extra motivated for that game since they can’t win the division if they lose.

Nice work with all the combination scenarios - but it is nauseating to go through for the Rams after a world class epic choke job - just too much. Cannot hold a 16 point lead in the 4th quarter ? You deserve nothing in terms of help.

Well, one of them will lose to the other in their season finale, since they play each other.SoCalRam78 wrote: ↑December 18th, 2025, 9:38 pm

However, I'm not envisioning the Seahawks losing another game, they'll almost certainly finish at 14-3 as NFC West champions with playoff home field.
The Seahawks totally crushed the Broncos back in Super Bowl XLVIII, I'm wondering if they can do so again...??

True, however it's highly probable that they won't win it, especially with the Seahawks having three extra days of preparation with the Thursday night 'mini-bye'...ADonaldBeast wrote: ↑December 18th, 2025, 9:40 pm

D was bad vs the run from where I sit. And they stymied our run tandem- which we have not seen pretty much all year. I think that was the difference if you wanna discount the crap ST play and the crap calls.
