I live in Atlanta and I can tell you right now, the Falcons will not win more than 6 games if not 5. That team is trash and I doubt if Raheem Morris makes it past today (Monday) after that brutal loss to the Panthers. Rams will get a top 5 pick out of that trade. ...I just pray if Shula leaves, we do NOT bring Raheem Morris and his atrocious soft shell defensive scheme back to the Rams!!

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
With Cousins at the helm, my guess is 5 wins at most for atl.
I must ask again, how did Buffalo lose to atl. I know upsets happen all the time, but that one hurts, bc atl would have had one less win.

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
Any given Sunday C29... you know this..
Somedays, the best teams just show up not mentally prepared, poor execution and bad schemes...
Hence why I look at our Rams, and never think a layup game is in site... ALSO our other issue is, we play to the level of whoever we play most of the time too...

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
I am not so sure they have 4 easy games left. 2 Saints, Jets and Cardinals they could win. 3 of those. I assume they lose to Rams, Seattle and TB. I could see 6-7 wins not saying it will happen, but yesterday they were ahead all game and Carolina came back at the end to send it into OT.
I am not sure if Cousins hurts or helps our chances a d didn't seem like Penix was going to be out too long.

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
Here's a thought. What if they trade down with one of the other teams that has 2 first rounders? There are 3 teams besides us and one of them might want to go all the way up to 5-8 like Dallas.ocram23 wrote: ↑November 17th, 2025, 8:40 amif we can somehow get to 5 that would be awesome. let's just hope they don't trade out49RH8R wrote: ↑November 17th, 2025, 7:39 am
The Falcon's were ahead most of the game and I thought they won because I stopped looking when the Rams came on. That's two brutal last second losses in a row for Atlanta. Now that Penix is out they could continue to sink. I was a little worried this would happen and Cousins would look good but he didn't.
We are currently at #8.

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
so cleveland, dallas and the Jets are the 3 teams. I think Cleveland and NY will stay put because they will more than likely take a QB. It is all going to depend on what team out there identifies a player that is sitting there when the Rams pick. going to be interesting

100% agree. Not sure any of the 2026 QBs are worth a top 10 pick. Maybe our 32 pick of the first round depending on if we are desperate.ocram23 wrote: ↑November 17th, 2025, 11:33 pmhe scares the hell out of me.....too inconsistent for me..I honestly don't think there is a QB worth a 1st round pickRamsfan08ny wrote: ↑November 17th, 2025, 8:56 pm

I like Mateer from OU but I think you can get him in the 2nd or 3rd. we are going to have our choice possibly at a top 3 LT candidate. would like them to go that route or get the top CB in the draft. The kid from LSU is a freakin stud

Do you know how huge those games are against NO and the NYJ? A win by NO or NYJ moves them up and ATL down. Both those sad sack teams have 2 wins to Atlanta's 3. I am really hoping NO can get them while they're down this weekend. It's in New Orleans.

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
Yeah, but 4-5 desperate teams will take a chance and draft QBs high. They always do.
LT, CB, or even WR would all be good choices. (Top 5 is a little high for WR but top 15 might be okay. We will need a replacement for Devonte at some point.) Anything but spending the first pick on a QB. I just don't see the value.

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
Yes, I was going to say LB but we a couple reasons I didn't...1) I wouldn't draft a LB in the top 10 picks, 2)LB is not a position that Rams typically value very high so I doubt we would draft one in the first round. I wouldn't mind us drafting one in 2-4 rounds. If there was a clear stud available like Roquan Smith...then I would not complain.ocram23 wrote: ↑November 18th, 2025, 12:08 pmdon't forget about LBBulldawg wrote: ↑November 18th, 2025, 10:40 am

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
the OSU linebacker is rated that high this year, Arvell Reese, so if we are drafting around 10 I would not be upset. However I think a lot of us have talked at length about using the ATL pick on an OT...I don't think they can ignore this position any longer. Don't be surprised if McVay goes WR with our first pick; that's how he is wired. Second pick best available LT.

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
Several top RTs align up from 5-10 if that is the way we go. At least 1 cb nearer the 7-12 spot.
It will be a tough decision by Les and his team. Do we go for the QB of the future or a cb or RT because the CBs and McLendon are doing good.
I am going to trust Les and his team they have early really earned it. He, Roseman and Vetch are the top 3 GMs - we can see what a great GM can do and definitely in Les' case he has found players in the third round through UDFAs, like Puka, Shelton, Lake, Durant, Kyren, Young, Turner, UDFas - Jackson, Evans, Speights and the Tank (McCollough), and Stafford, Dotson, Landman, Poona in FA and I am surely missing some. That is simply amazing. Note the UDFAs listed are playing vital roles on on our team they are not backups and seco d tier guys that's what's so amazing.
I know i say it alot but Les' Snead is just as valuable as Sean McVay without Les' acquisition skill in the draft and FA McVay would be marginalized to a degree. This is taking nothing away from the brilliance of McVay.

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
I would trade with Dallas for their first pick this year, 2nd round pick this year and 1st next year for our Atlanta pick.
Gives us ammo for next years draft in case there is a decent QB in there.. Not seeing it this year.
Still gives us 2 picks this year in the 1st and extra 2nd rounder and an extra 1st rounder next year.

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
I just thought of this after reading through this thread and Atlanta's remaining schedule...
If the Falcons are bunched together with a few teams with the same record, Atlanta has a good shot of picking first. That's because the tiebreaker goes by strength of schedule and the lower the SOS win % the higher the slot. ATL plays NO 2x, NYJ, and AZ. They also play LAR, SEA and Tampa but that's 3 good teams compared to 4 bottom teams fighting for the #1 overall pick. They'll win 2, maybe 3 games max and finish with 5-6 wins. The 5 win teams last year picked from #7 - #10. SF was the only 6 win team last year and they picked at #11.

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
Atlanta might not be able to beat the Jets or Saints as crappy as they've looked with Cousins at QB.
And what about them tanking the rest of their games to go after that No. 1? They wouldn't do that just for us. So another team, as has been suggested, would have to have a behind the scenes deal in place at the trade deadline, and they finish the season with the 20th pick for us.
Can that happen?

so imo, we have 2 options… pay Stafford for another year, whatever he wants… OR get Sean on a plane to Cabo again and pick up a Joe Burrows type…
This coming draft is rich w Defensive… in fact prob one of the best defensive drafts in years imo.

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
I agree and IF Stafford is the guy next year then roll with him and make the roster better. You have a chance to draft your future LT with the ATL pick. I think that is what should be done. I also have said I would not be upset with they took Downs or Reese, both defensive studs from OSU. The ATL pick IMO has to be an impact player and I don't think there is a franchise QB worthy of that pick.
