Deja Vu game - Ravens will do exactly what SF did to try and beat us
Harborough knows he gets in a shoot out with us he loses by double digits.
He has a worse QB than SF but he has a strong TE, solid wrs and a great RB. So the goal for the Ravens is to play TOP ball and keep it out of our hands by calling a ton of Henry runs and calling controlled high percentage throws which net them small gains but long drives potentially.
If I am the Rams we need to learn from our SF mistakes and play 8 in the box which defends against the short pass and the Henry runs.
Most importantly we need to jump out on them early in the pass game with Puka, Devante etc forcing them when on Offense to throw instead of run and throw deeper causing them to play more desparately eventually hopefully forcing them into turnovers or bad throws.

Great post. You are exactly correct. Ravens will try to control the clock and grind us down. The Rams MUST stack the box and force the Ravens into 3rd and long situations. If we play soft - 10 yards off the ball, we will lose this game.malibu wrote: ↑October 8th, 2025, 4:12 pm Harborough knows he gets in a shoot out with us he loses by double digits.

They absolutely will attempt this - they are a physical smash mouth team and this Rams group is a soft/ finesse squad. Nothing has been done to change this style on O or D so the Ravens will have a real chance as the Rams show a great aversion to change or adjust.

Hopefully we will correct our defense from SF the Ravens have a RB exact replica of SF and deficient defense so it feels so obvious what they are going to do.GlendoraRam wrote: ↑October 8th, 2025, 4:44 pmGreat post. Henry is not exactly tearing it up this season and, for now, our run D is our best asset. I would more expect a short passing get the ball out quickly deal. Without Lamar, they are not exactly a dynamic offense
GR .. shaken not stirred

Malibu, agree completely. We will see dink and dunk for the rest of the season until we demonstrate that we can defend it.
I'm not sure this Defense can do that. Need to protect Stafford too with 12 personnel.

That D wasn't that much better in the 2nd half... They forced 2 more punts, 1 aided by a penalty, the other by the Rams only Sack.duanevalle22 wrote: ↑October 9th, 2025, 7:46 am I guess some of you quit watching the game in the 2nd half where the defense adjusted and only allowed 6 points. (not counting the over time session). The 49er QB was barely able to get off the field.
The only coaching call by McVay I didn't agree with was not letting the offense have the ball first in the over-time period. The 49er defense was so gassed by the end of the 4th quarter the Rams would have waltzed their way into the endzone in the over-time possession. Then the defense could have continued the beating on the 49er QB.
The Rams Offense was night and day from the 1st half to the 2nd as well and we had the ball longer, the opposite of the 1st half.
They brought us back into the game, once again, with a good chance to win it. Momentum was on our side!
The 9ers had a 1st down on their own 2 with 8 minutes left and the game tied 20-20. D gets the stuff here and it's our ball Midfield, still tied.
The D let them drive for a go ahead FG. Then in OT, they let them drive for the go ahead FG again!.
The D were presented with 2 opportunities late in the game to shut them down and they couldn't.
23 points, regardless of the TO's and missed kicks, should have been more then enough vs a team that short handed.
It should have been more then enough for a good D.
