Re: Rams @ Eagles Pre Game Thread
It took me awhile to get over last year’s loss to them. I hate the world for a few days when my team loses. I avoid this forum for a few days after losses just so I don’t have to read “the sky is falling” messages. Everyone has their own way with dealing with it.GlendoraRam wrote: ↑September 16th, 2025, 2:55 pm I will be hating… then loving.. the Rams haves caused me to be bi-polar as hell.

Re: Reality check : Rams vs Eagles
Y'all let those comments get to y'all too much. Ive been enjoying this season. Let them think McVay sucks. We all know history says otherwise. Stafford doesn't need to retire until he feels he cant do this anymore. Its been a good season so far.Bulldawg wrote: ↑September 16th, 2025, 2:53 pmI said 1/2 the group. Was not specifically talking about any one person. We have a good many people that will talk out both sides of their mouth depending on the day. One day saying they are the best player and the next day they are the worst and should retire. Big difference in criticizing a play or even a game vs saying stuff like McVay’s sucks!FelixTheStonerCat wrote: ↑September 16th, 2025, 1:23 pm
Nope. Won't throw in the towel. I'll be watching the rest of the season. Its ok to criticize.
My comment was just saying if we lose Sunday, there will probably be some people saying we need to replace McVay or Stafford needs to retire.

Another way to cope ...
Haven't you tried your mom's delicious chocolate chip cookies she bakes? They always make me fell better... couple of those warm delicious treats w some milk... makes everything better.
She notices when the Rams are not doing well, she gets up and prances to the kitchen, next thing I know.. as our beloved Rams maybe losing its that sweet smell of cookie dough and chocolate morsels fill the air. It makes everything better.

Brad Rodgers crew. Officiated Rams Cards week 17 last year and Rams vs Bears last year. Last officiated eagles game was 2022.
Brad Rodgers crew ranked #1 for DEFENSIVE PASS INTERFERENCE in 2024
They ranked #3 for net positive penalty EPA in 2024
They focus on the perimeter of the field at a higher rate than many crews. In addition to D.P.I. , no officiating crew have called more OFFENSIVE PASS INTERFERENCE penalties than Rogers' since 2022
Home teams are 48.5% ATS in Rogers' career & his games go OVER at a 55% rate

Re: Rams @ Eagles Pre Game Thread
To add to this above, another thing we need to watch is the tush push issue… I didn’t realize this during game, but the Eagles jump off sides just about every time they have ran this push. Google the story. It’s nuts.Cornell29 wrote: ↑September 16th, 2025, 4:18 pm Brad Rodgers crew. Officiated Rams Cards week 17 last year and Rams vs Bears last year. Re: Rams @ Eagles Pre Game Thread
The eagles lost key players on defense from last year. Graham, Williams, Sweat on the line. Slay and Gardner-Johnson in the secondary. I probably forgot one or two others. How can they not feel the loss of talent? Maybe by November they will have it figured out but this is September.
On offense, they still look loaded but the passing game is struggling right now. They are going to pound it and will get their share of ugly yards. This is a given.
In short they are always tenacious but seem very beatable right now. If the rams play their best game, they will win.

Re: Rams @ Eagles Pre Game Thread
IMO you MUST match the physical attitude in play that they bring - if not you will be steam rolled. Philly will make it an all run affair unless you stop it and force Hurtz to beat you through the air From THE POCKET - Not unlike a bloody knuckles Bar fight you must be mentally committed to engage in - Hope the Rams bring it.

Re: Rams @ Eagles Pre Game Thread
I heard this morning the Rams lead the NFL with plays under center. (It was around 62% or higher.) I can't find the stat anywhere but will keep looking. They were talking about how many QBs can't play under center since they don't in college.
The interesting thing I found was that when Philly is under center they run the ball 96% of the time. (I even saw 1 post that said last week they ran 100% of the time under center.) Just thought this was an interesting stat. (The Tush Push gets counted so probably skews the mix a little.)

Re: Rams @ Eagles Pre Game Thread
I agree - don’t get me wrong as the Rams trying to BE the Eagles would not be their style but inside the tackles on both sides of the ball are huge to me in this match up . Can the Rams go into Philly and win this game ? Of course they can and it is a real litmus test for where we stand right now.

Re: Rams @ Eagles Pre Game Thread
Welp...
GUYS... Remember, RAMS play at the level of EVERY opponent we face... (good and bad), Every game is close and we are always in it. But we finally put away a bad team, the Titans. Took the second half, but we have improved. Especially from last season.
IMO, keys to this game... protect Matt of course. establish the RUN and win TOP... and for all thats holy, PROTECT the ball and limit mistakes AND penalties.
We just need to be on point this wkend. If we are on point, we win this thing. Have faith and get ready to see McVay hobbling up and down the field... (and can we just say it how it is w Sean? No way is his Planter healing during the season. He is so involved, we ALL know hes going to re injure himself just about every game. No way can this dude just chill. No way. Not in his DNA... This is going to be a site to behold)
Many are saying we are the Eagles biggest threat this season in the NFC, but you know the hell what? How about the Eagles are the RAMS biggest threat.
Last years team came within a play to making the Superbowl against this SAME team in the ice... YET, we are a better team this year. Eagles, still a top tier team, but if anything, they lost a few key guys. Their D is great, but we know what to do... OL needs to kick ass this wkend.

Re: Rams @ Eagles Pre Game Thread
We've made changes to address other weaknesses to and this game will tell us a lot about where we are or are not improved.
At least it's not an elimination game like last time. We can get lots from this game even if we lose as long as we play well. Lots of season left.
I think the Rams can win this game Sunday if they play on both sides of the ball like they did in the 2nd half last week in Nashville.

Re: Rams @ Eagles Pre Game Thread
I hate to be a Debbie Downer and I hope I eat crow on this one but I really don't see how we can beat them. First of all, we are on the road and our offensive line is banged up. Our DB's have taken a huge hit with the loss of Witherspoon.
The Eagles on the other hand look pretty healthy. Between Barkley and Hurts we are going to struggle to stop the run game. Their defense will frustrate Stafford.
Our only hope is to get an early lead and then have sustained long drives to wear down their defense and keep their offense off the field. If we can't do that, I don't even think this game will be close. My expectations for this game are very low. I hope they surprise me.

Re: Rams @ Eagles Pre Game Thread
I hope you are wrong. ;-) I don't see us wearing them down. We will need a shoot-out mentality. Their DL is going to be tough to run against. Their DBs can be vulnerable. IMO, if we get up early we have to keep going full speed. Stafford needs 350+ yards this game.NN1Badboy wrote: ↑September 18th, 2025, 12:46 am I hate to be a Debbie Downer and I hope I eat crow on this one but I really don't see how we can beat them. I love this exchange with V8 and Puka. These guys are having a great time as teammates ad don’t take themselves too seriously. I think our team chemistry and energy is special. I’d love to see them in the locker room.

Re: Rams @ Eagles Pre Game Thread
I read where the NFL had a league wide Ref meeting of sorts where they are going to be enforcing lining up in the neutral zone when teams are implementing the tush push. Starting this week, they are watching it and will be enforcing it. I guess we will see if the Eagles line up further behind the line of scrimmage this week. Hopefully the Rams won’t have to deal with the tush push at all, but we shall see.
