Finding the Perfect Coverage Linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams in the 2025 NFL Draft

Post by GlendoraRam »

As the Los Angeles Rams gear up for the 2025 NFL Draft, their focus has shifted from chasing star power to building depth and versatility across the roster. After two years of targeting immediate-impact players like Jared Verse and Braden Fiske, the Rams now find themselves in a position to refine their lineup with complementary pieces. One area of particular interest is the linebacker position, where the team could use an infusion of talent—specifically, a coverage specialist to pair with emerging star Omar Speights. With the draft set to kick off on April 24, the Rams have a golden opportunity to address this need, and the 2025 class offers a wealth of intriguing prospects who could fit the bill.

good stuff. I think the issue I have is now that Campbell's injury, IMO, rules him out do you wait until the 3rd round or do you trade back to get a couple of 2nd round picks and then come back in the 2nd and draft a LB? I think it is going to get very interesting if Dart falls to them at 26, which I doubt will happen, if a team will trade back into the draft or trade up to get him??? Draft is a month out.....can't wait

I'm really hoping for the same. Trade down and add a 2nd or 3rd. That would give us 4 picks in the first 3 rounds. We could get some combination of what we all want - CB, OT, TE, ILB.

Naturally, if they love a player at 26 they you gotta sit tight and take him.

It might well be optimal if Chris Paul, Jr. somehow were to be available for our team to take in the third round of this year's NFL draft, of course that would require the McVay/Snead regime being interested enough to select him... :? ;) :geek:

RAM SEASON!!

I really don't see any possible scenario where they trade out of the 1st round, and get a couple 2nd rounders. Best case scenario is that a QB is there at 26 and a few teams want him. In that case, they "might" get a 2nd and a 3rd, but more likely, based on the value chart, the 26th pick gets you a 2 and a 4 in return. More if it's a team who picks in the back half of round 2.

I too wouldn't mind seeing a trade back, into the top 5 of the second rd, but I also don't think there will be a player at 26 that a team will give up two picks for.

I'm with you on the draft. Can't wait. Gotta be my favorite single event of the year, with the Masters following at second.

I absolutely love the draft. It is going to depend on if somebody falls to them. I still think they can trade back

Me if a sure fire player of need is available at #26 we should stay there and take him if aBU for now Tackle, CB#1, or sideline to sideline ILB come available we stay and take him. If all the players of need are not available or we don't value the players when drafting I am all for moving down if the opportunity arises.
