From the Bucs perspective, it reminded me of the Saints-Rams playoff game in 2000.

Rams had played awful, got down by a ton, then had a miraculous comeback to get in position to at least get it to OT. Then Az Hakim muffs a punt abd game over. Probably what the Bucs felt like after giving up the late bomb to Kupp. They had no business being in that game but if it goes to OT anything can happen. Both losses ended the season of the prior Super Bowl champs

The Rams were down by 7-31 in the fourth quarter, then Kurt Warner rallied them to cut the deficit to 24-31, with time running out our team's "D" forced a punt, but Az-Zahir Hakim muffed it and the Saints recovered.

That was truly a 'deflating' playoff contest for the 'blue-&-gold' fans.

It had to feel that way for the Buccaneers fans today, miraculously getting back into the game only to watch it slip away with mere seconds left in regulation time... :? :geek:

Time to be happy and prepare for next week. The amount of upside is crazy. Beating the 9rs after all this will be ALMOST better than winning it all.

DM, we did put them away…. I knew it wasn’t going to be a blow out! Yes, we screwed up with 4 turnovers BUT we won in enemy territory. Lessons hopefully learned but we are going on to next week. At least be glad for Stafford. Never had been this deep in the playoffs and he was a baller. It’s easy to look at the negative…. We will fix that!

I’m not negative. I’m just annoyed that we can’t put things away. We got so lucky this game. We are giving too many teams the opportunity to stay in it… and even win it. Ask the 9ers.

No, I wont feel comfortable either but this is the playoffs where mistakes will bite you. I said during this whole game, the game isnt over until it's over... but we won. Yes, 4 turnovers ...but saying that, we can overcome our mistakes. I'm not worried about the Niners in the past, just about the Niners next week. Yes, we have to play a complete game. Enjoy the stressful win... you think the Buc fans feel better that they almost won? Enjoy the moment DM!!!
