How do we beat the 49ers?

We have lost the last 5 games to the 49ers. We lost 2 games last year with their starting quarterback out and Kittle out for one game.

We are so outmatched when we play them. We look like we're taking a test without studying. What can we do to beat them?

Bring as much fire and punch them in the face.

For the past couple years the Niners have been chomping at the bit to get at the Rams while the Rams have looked bewildered that Frisco is playing so hard.

We can win but the question is are the Rams willing to raise their game to a level SF hasn’t seen for awhile….

I really see no reason why Rams would come in soft and yet they just keep doing it against their rival

We need to be less predictable. Let's run the ball with 2 TE sets for 60% of our plays.

Let's double Kittle and take him out of the equation.

Ball control…. It seems like Stafford doesn’t settle down until mid 3rd qtr, Lol. Run the ball as much as you can until he settles down. These turnovers are going to kill us. We gotta beat the Niners, just from a confidence stand point… at least for the fans like me.

OL needs to have a game and fire off the ball...they did that pretty well today against a good DL...McVay needs to be patient, mix things up like and control the ball like Shanahan does against us...

Stop the run. Don’t turn the ball over. Pay attention to Deebo Samuel. Sack the QB.

Stop those 2 yard screen passes and those 3 yard crossing routes from Garrappolo if he plays. If ANY team take those simple 2 yard passes away, 49ers lose every damn game they play. Raheem Morris have got to play mostly man bump and run coverage. If Garrappolo play and you take away those three step drop back first read throw 2 yard passes, Rams win the game with ease.

I feel like the Rams have to be patient and OK with a ground heavy attack and some drives stalling early. It just seems like McVay abandons the run and then we make huge mistakes in the passing game which leads to a playing from behind the whole time. San Francisco is the master of the eight minute drive running through our face. We have to load the box and play some press coverage in my opinion. Be the aggressor for once on D!!

It looks like Morris has started putting Ramsey one on one with the oppositions biggest threat...so that makes me wonder will it be Kittle or Deebo? I say Deebo….putting Ramsey on a TE? I know he was on Andrews but Baltimore doesn't have Deebo. I would also consider Williams one on one with Kittle, but I don't see that happening.

The Niners have simply been the more physical team and kicked the Rams in the teeth....you know that old saying everybody has a plan until you punch them in the nose? The Rams need to up their physical game, and that could/will lead to a few fights....but that is the only way to beat the bully.

Unfortunately, Morris' defense plays right into SF's offensive scheme. Give up the 8 minute drive and then try and hold them to a FG. Cannot have that next Sunday. Gotta get up in their faces and win the physical battle. Something that SF always wins against us.

In my opinion the best way to defend the niner passing game is to play with a single high safety, flood the short middle with defenders and let the corners play one on one as crapalo doesn't throw much outside the numbers. Now that doesn't mean you play pure man type defense but take a page out of the Saints playbook when they play the Bucs. Just have your defenders sitting short and wait for the crossers to come to them. Combine that with the Rams pass rush and they should dominate the niners provided then can control the running game.

The niners will just run the ball all day again. Smart coach. Solid team. Outstanding TE. They just have our number. Just hope we avoid them in 1st round. We need to just play up in the box and make them beat us deep. Worth a shot.
