One thing I do not want is a nasty windy wet day. These type of days normally benefits the lesser of the two teams especially a ground team like the Ravens who also doesn't have much in the secondary. Rams could have used DH but he is hurt again. What a bad weather day for Cam to return and test that ankle.

It does say the rain is 50 percent so maybe it holds off or not rain much

We'll just have to bring our wetsuits and get down and dirty then... the other team will have to play in it too and there's no team that would have the advantage in this environment.. imo..
Make more plays is always required regardless of the elements... and that's what will win the game...

Seeing winds will be in the neighborhood of 15mph to 25mph……….

This does not bode well in trying to exploit their horrible pass defense……….

Plays well for them in trying to beat them in what they are really good at. Stopping the run……..

Line up 7 OL sets if need be I guess…………

This weather forecast definitely favors the Ravens, with their ground game and strong defense vs. the run.

It's reminding me of the so-called 'Mud Bowl' in the divisional round of the 1977 NFC playoffs, in which the Vikings upset the Rams (7-14), despite being without their starting QB and having lost badly to our team (35-3) during the regular season.

Here's likely another wet, windy game on a rain-soaked field, which figures to nullify the Good Guys' major advantage, i.e. their passing game vs. the Ravens' vulnerable pass defense.

Let's hope that Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford will be much better prepared for inclement weather this coming Sunday, than Chuck Knox and Pat Haden were 44 years ago... :?

For a Geography teacher you sure have a fascination with History...just messin with you man

1977 was over 40 years ago and the changes in offenses and the technology in equipment has changed dramatically. I'm not saying the weather won't be a factor but it won't be anywhere near what 1977 was.

I feel receivers have the advantage on slippery fields due to they know where they are going and can prepare to make that cut...the defenders have to adjust.

I'm not overly concerned with it

For the record, I've taught various social studies courses, including history ones.

Here's hoping that you prove to be correct, if the weather turns out to be a key factor in Sunday's Rams-Ravens game. Certainly wet, windy weather is going to have a significant effect on any football game played outdoors, I'm figuring.

More recent forecasts for the Baltimore area now seem to indicate that the weather may end up being somewhat better than originally projected on game day, so it may not matter as much.

Still, the Rams will need to go out on the field and outplay the Ravens, regardless of the weather conditions, something which they haven't accomplished lately... :( :? :|

Social studies...rats...sorry man, I thought I remembered you posting Geography....but I have messed up a couple of times now...I'm starting to think I'm losin it...LOL

Yea....the weather could be a factor but I'm not of the mind set it favors one over the other as long as the tech crew is prepared and have different sets of cleat sizes to adjust as required.

Should be a good game and looking forward to it.

With his writing skills, I thought he could easily pass for a college writing professor. Although we do not agree on much, I do appreciate the grammar, thought and well written post he puts up.

Although he only gets an 96% passing grade from me….If I could just negative grade him on one thing he keeps repeating though that drives me crazy is (yep…you guessed it)… ‘The Good Guys’ and his usual 3 emoji type emojis at the end.

Drives me bananas.

😂😂😂
I use the phrase "the good guys" as well....so.....

I have (2) that drive me crazy.....could of in place of the contraction could've (could have) and the other is loose in place of lose....IDK why those bug me and I never reply anything about it, but I notice it every time.

I know I make mistakes and I am more interested in the point the poster is making...but I admit I notice

Maybe a resolution from me to just not give it one more second on my time....l

For me he's more on the bad stuff that happens with the team... Probably as result of the constant failures with the solid teams they had in the late 60's, 70's and 80's that always came up short...
Wears on you and I get that so I know where he's coming from... Of course I'm guessing but as far a I can see, he's one of them needs to be shown type guys... me too... another sign of age ;)

When we saw the schedule last Spring and saw Baltimore in January at 4:25 we figured 30 something degrees with possible wind, rain or snow and dark. Well, it will be 64 degrees with no rain and will be light out for entire game due to the fortunate time change. Couldn't ask for more. Ram weather. Go get a win.
No joke. What’s even crazier is look at Saturday and Mondays highs. So bizarre to go from 64° high to 38° high, the next day.

I mean we really dodged a bullet. Could be the warmest day of the month in Balt.
Go Global Warming!!! The good guys got a favor.

Where I've taught here in the Lone Star State, "social studies" includes U.S. Government, Economics: The Free Enterprise System, U.S. History, World History and World Geography. I've taught all of them on occasion, but mostly Government and Economics, which are senior-level one-semester courses.

So you're not "losing it," I did mention having taught geography, in reference to the location of Minneapolis.

It should be a challenging game, I'm old enough to remember the NFL Coastal Division rivalry between the Los Angeles Rams and the Baltimore Colts, from 1967-69.

Given the Ravens' injury issues, our team *should* win this matchup, however the Rams will have to be fully focused and prepared in order to do so. I'm still concerned that they could well lose their grip on the NFC West title over these final two weekends... :) :geek:

I use talk to text a lot. It’s actually funny the words it thinks I say when I said something different. I find myself going back and correcting, then I finally give up. Grammar is bad at times for everyone here, except for Coach, of course. Sometimes he’s a bit lose or maybe I could’ve used another word 😜😂

The one that drives me nuts SB is your and you’re.

Now, for Sunday… Let’s go GOOD GUYS! 😘😜😎
My grammar and spelling can be a huge problem, but I also find that my typing on a small tablet isn't the most accurate. If I miss, and hit a wrong key, the thing inserts a word not remotely close to what I meant. Far too often I submit, without proof reading. I apologize in advance for this.

Any word on Lamar for today? I can’t find anything except questionable.
Still questionable at this point. Most fantasy gurus don't think he is playing. He looked bad in practice on Wed. We should know around 11am EST.

Thx, BD…

Nice win this week for your BD’s. Now please go and kick the crap out of Bama, please. Thx (my money is on your guys, btw)
Thanks. I am trying to decide if I am going to the game or not. If it was anyone but Bama I would feel more confident. Hopefully we can finally get over that hump next Monday. (Just like we are getting over that "Stafford has never won a playoff game" hump.)
