Re: Thankful
Totally agree-I felt confident going in but after that first half and The Hags going ahead 10-3 I started getting a bit antsy. We dominated the first half and only got 3 points but finally started scoring TD's from Staff to Kupp. The offense will not lead us to the promised land if Stafford can't find someone else to feel comfortable throwing to besides Kupp-the RW injury is definitely hurting our offense right now. Staff and OBJ are not on the same page and Skowronek drops too many passes. VJ seems really hit and miss but he and Staff seemed to have a decent connection a few weeks ago-hope that comes back or maybe Higbee can step up.

The defense played well but I'm hoping for more consistent pressure from the D-line against Minnesota.

Seattle is always a tough game but the Rams seem to be able to pull it off.....defense deserves a game ball and I have been down on Morris since his name was mentioned as the new DC.

Yup
No practice all week. Facilities shut down all week.
Many of the players coming off of covid. Who knows if they were still experiencing some lingering effects.
Mcvay didnt know who will be there when he installed the game plan
The Win last night was huge.

Re: Thankful
Agreed. The chemistry isn't there yet with Stafford. Looks like there was another miscommunication out there but to be expected.
He became a ram a few weeks ago, didn't practice with the team last week and he is coming off of having covid.
If the rams had Woods, imo they would have beat GB. Ben Skow gives next to nothing other then disappointment.

Re: Thankful
I'm just evaluating him, like I do all the players. His hands are mediocre and it's hurting the rams. No one is saying that he can't improve as he gets more games and years under his belt.SoCalRam78 wrote: ↑December 22nd, 2021, 9:44 am People like to complain, seriously Skowrenek 7th round pick who was like 7th on our depth chart in the preseason drawing flak?
I'm not expecting much from him other then to catch a pass that hits you in both hands, especially considering limited targets he gets.

With that said, despite limited targets he had another drop pass.

Re: Thankful
They need to find a way to get OBJ the ball and keep him happy and focused as we head to the Playoffs. He is still not part of this Rams culture yet and may never be.
Be smart McVay and get him more touches.

Re: Thankful
I really question how much OBJ knows the playbook. Stafford and OBJ chemistry isn'tClaremontram wrote: ↑December 22nd, 2021, 12:55 pm They need to find a way to get OBJ the ball and keep him happy and focused as we head to the Playoffs. there yet. Still some miscommunication between the two. Understandably so since OBJ joined a few weeks ago and was coming off of covid. The more obj gets the playbook down and gets chemistry with Stafford, he'll get more balls his way. Stafford almost had OBJ for a huge play but Seattle db smartly held him.

Re: Thankful
Don’t agree at all. Since he arrived Stafford has targeted him. He did again last night. As much as Kupp of course not. But last night clearly twice they were not on the same page on two passes. When you consider OBJ was on the COVID list and did not practice the last few days…………….Claremontram wrote: ↑December 22nd, 2021, 12:55 pm They need to find a way to get OBJ the ball and keep him happy and focused as we head to the Playoffs. Again he is being targeted. The comment about him not being a part of the “Rams culture” is based on what? I think most of us are not seeing this at all…………
My bet is him and Stafford will be spending some time on the field prior to leaving for Minnesota to continue working on their timing. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if OBJ has a big game this Sunday…………….

Re: Thankful
Very commendable performance considering no practice and only a Saturday walk-through. I'm thankful for our coach who has handled the last two weeks with COVID beyond well. I'm thankful that the Rams are a well-run organization who cut their loses, work the cap very well and are not afraid to reach for a shinny object and bring them into the fold. McVay runs a 'no drama' ship but he is not afraid of big personalities. The Rams roll the dice and I'm fine with that. There will be repercussions for lack of draft capital down the line but for now this team seems to be coming together at the right time and I for one think they are capable of beating anyone they might face in the playoffs even on the frozen tundra. I'm especially thankful that I can watch Kupp's incredible year, what an all-around great, unselfish player. With all this said what more can a longtime Ram fan want...

Yes I'm being too hard on B Skow. I just hate drops, by a wr who isn't asked to do much other then catch the ball that hits him in the hands while wide open. This isn't the first game that happened either.
With that said, B Skow imo is looking solid for a rookie and will only get better. Please work on that Jugs machine.

Ahhhh, some love for Morris, thk you!DMRamFan wrote: ↑December 22nd, 2021, 4:58 am Thankful for that win. After the week from hell, we were able to right the ship. Proud of our boys.
Evan’s was out of his element, some of our blue chips had some hiccups, Staff started slow again, we were missing some key guys…
yet…we prevailed.
We showed a lot last ngt in the face of real adversity.
Game ball: The D. They showed up and made some key stops. Morris has improved and I hope he keeps this going. AD held on almost every play, yet has another great ngt.

I spoke too soon in the another post, I see people giving props. I’m glad! I hope he does well, it takes time to get a new system going, doesn’t matter who the players. Still, let’s give it to end of season. Hell, as great as McVay is, he’s still adapting!

The biggest upgrade I think has been Gaines. Has made a big difference as a playmaker.
