Everyone was wrong!

Post by NN1Badboy »

Every post on here can now be thrown out the window. All the guessing wishing and high hopes that we all had are now a mute point. It’s kinda taken all the fun out of the draft.

I’m happy about the fact that we won’t be drafting a defensive lineman, or Connor Cook in the first round.

I’m not happy that we gave up so many picks. We missed out on Hunter Henry, some decent receivers, some pretty good defensive linemen, our future FS, a good C and a couple of good prospects next year just to take a QB who may or may not reach greatness.

I laughed when we screwed the Redskins a couple of years ago, but i’m not laughing now. I hope it all works out for us, but we gave up a ton, and i’m not sure we made the right decision. I’m still SMH.

Still a chance C could be addressed in round 4, best class for centers in a long, long time. Higbee may be better than Henry if he keeps his head straight. And if the qb they select develops and does turn into the next Brady/Manning type who plays until age 38-40 at a very high level and turns into the type of qb who has his team in playoffs annually well it will end up being a very very good draft year indeed.

Current regimes track record in later rounds of draft not great. Maybe with the scouting focus on the later rounds after pick one, Rams do indeed find some gems in round 4 and 6

I agree with both of you guys.

There's still some talent to be had later in the draft.
It wouldn't surprise me one be if we end up with Higbee. I can also see a decent WR being available there...also maybe a good LB like Matakevich.

But yeah, it has taken some of the fun out of the draft. Hopefully this will translate to more fun during the regular season.
While watching the NFL Network...you see names mentioned...Doctson, Ragland, Boyd, etc. and you realize all the talent the Rams are going to miss out on.
And not just this year, but next year, too.

Like I mentioned...hopefully we can start relying on the season to provide us with our fun, rather than the draft year after year.

That's why they call it a mock draft.

It will almost always end up being mocked. :D
