D. Howard Part II

Post by CierraRam »

In another post someone mentioned that Howard reminded them of Mark Barron. Demarco Farr said Corey Littleton. I agree with the Barron comparison more. Because by all accounts that I have seen Howard is actually better than Littleton is in coverage. And for a LB'er Littleton was very good. That PBU by Howard against the Cardinals looked like a DB all the way and not just a LB'er sticking his hand up to knock a pass away. I have been very impressed with Howard in the middle despite his size. If the Rams can get that beef eater of a DT in the middle and go with speed at the MLB's... That's the making of a brutal defense. See the success of Ray Lewis as an undersized MLB with those beef eaters in place. Im not saying Howard is Lewis... I am saying that speed and coverage ability of Howard can fully be utilized if unhindered.. And opponents will pay as a result.

Barron was horrible in coverage. It’s why Tampa got rid of him and why the Rams eventually had to play him closer to the LOS and play him as a 1st n 2nd down run stopper….…….

Hope like heck Howard is much better than Barron in coverage. Early results is he is………
