Is Sean McVay’s Decision Making Holding the Rams Back?

Post by GlendoraRam »

Sean McVay arrived in Los Angeles like a breath of fresh air, revolutionizing the Rams’ offense and leading them to a Super Bowl LVI victory in 2022. At just 36 years old during that championship run, he was hailed as the wunderkind of the NFL, blending innovative schemes with star power to outmaneuver even the league’s best defenses. But three and a half years later, with the Rams sitting at 3-2 in the 2025 season after a heartbreaking overtime loss to the San Francisco 49ers, cracks are showing in the foundation McVay built. The once-dynamic head coach appears mired in complacency, failing to adapt to glaring weaknesses that have plagued the team since that confetti-filled night in February 2022. Is McVay, the architect of past glory, now the biggest obstacle holding the Rams back from contending again? The NFL is a results-driven league, and when we take a closer look at persistent issues—from personnel mismanagement to schematic stagnation—it suggests the answer might be yes.

Excellent article that says it all - would add his indifference in addressing the OL issues. The current handling of Limmer & Avila is key - sorry to say but McVay and his decisions/ warts are dismissed by many as sacraligious and should be never be discussed.

Well said sir! He seems to go into a wired coma sometimes and it shows up during games. But this is also showing up during the week..we need some accountability shown and McVay needs to stop coddling his players and his coaches!
Get ready, little lady. Hell is coming to breakfast.

One of your best articles yet! Hopefully there will be a more positive topic to write about in the near future. I was thinking that AJ Green should also be made active because of his Cleveland time against Baltimore.
