Karty's missed FG may be due to squib kicks.
Just saw an interesting explanation on Karty. The squib kicking maybe throwing off his FG swing. You know at times the Rams are too cute. Never disrupt a FG kickers mechanics if it works.
From SI- "McAfee stated Karty's squib kick on kickoffs have essentially placed the trajectory of his field goal kicks in the path of oncoming defenders, inducing more blocked kicks."

Interesting; better get it fixed regardless of the culprit.

Karty as it relates to one saying he isn’t getting his kicks up on FG attempts n PAT because of the squib kickoffs. NFL kicker they shouldn’t relate……..
So kicking it out of bounds and giving it to them on the 40 is because he is being asked to………

It’s the blocking. Watch all of the video breakdowns. Way too much penetration.

I think that’s BS. A QB has to throw a perfect pass no matter what is happening. Throwing a tight pass, lob pass, a defender in their face, etc… and still needs to have the mental capacity to put the throw on target and now they are saying a kicker can’t mentally prepare to kick high or low on a kickoff or FG… seems like a bunch of horse shit to me

Am I the only one that hates the kickoff rules? They need to go back to the old set up, and touchback means getting it at the 20

This is where you and I agree! I hate the new kickoff. Complete garbage. Now kickers are starting to do muff kicks, and it’s just weird. Entire thing sucks

If it is, they should get someone else to kick-off.. those types of kicks don't need a big leg.
