Not a fit for this offense. Nothing else needs to be said. That was a waste of 10 mil.

Ya right after us......And I was really hoping for the Rams to take a shot at Trey Smith after watching him in Tennessee, he ended up going at the bottom of the 6th round and is a premier guard today.

Re: Tutu Atwell
TuTu gets open (mcvay seen the film, thats why he got 10 million), but getting open isn't enough. Stafford has to feel comfortable throwing his way, when he has other targets on the field like Puka and Adams.
All the double TE sets arent helping when it comes to getting TuTu involved either.
With that said, today could be a huge step in building that Stafford TuTu chemistry.

Re: Tutu Atwell
They as in Stafford.
Once the ball is snap, Stafford controls where the ball goes. He dictates how long he stays on a read or if he should force a throw to that read or move onto the next.
Stafford is a highly experienced vet, with tendencies that he has had since his many years in Detroit. As Lions fans has said, Stafford sometimes rather force a ball to his favorite wr (the one he feels most comfortable throwing too) rather then spread the ball around. Those tendencies exist today, they arent going to change.
The good news is Stafford is still capable of winning a SB with those tendencies.
When it comes to Stafford, Im more concerned with his back and how it could be messing up his accuracy.

You know who is also a great blocker, KW. He saved Matt's ass.brasilrams wrote: ↑September 21st, 2025, 11:01 pmwhittington is a monster blocking , a lot of those 10 yard runs by KW only happened because of his tenacious blocking. He is also fast and explosive , and catches most balls . They need to throw ( scheme ) for him morerammingspeed wrote: ↑September 17th, 2025, 6:31 am On Blake Corum's run down near the 20 yard line in the first half, I think it was Tutu that if had actually put some effort into blocking his man it would have been a TD. Contrast that effort with the effort Whittington gave on Puka's 45-yard end around, catching up to Puka, and getting ahead of the defender - who it looked like would have caught Puka otherwise.
EDIT: Yup, it was Tutu. See the video here at the 2:31 mark. https://www.therams.com/video/highlight ... e-landman
SMH. I screamed at him when I saw the play live, the more I watch it the more nauseous it makes me. Put some hands on the guy, don't just throw a shoulder.

Re: Tutu Atwell
Cornell29 is right, this is all on Stafford. He needs to find this man more often. He’s the fastest guy in the NFL. We need to use that.

Re: Tutu Atwell
Interesting that he looked pissed at Stafford for missing him on the first one. Also, him keeping the ball was great, it was definitely a career catch and run.

Re: Tutu Atwell
Don't blame him. Stafford is the experienced qb that has the option of throwing to any receiver he wants to. Mcvay isn't running a one read offense with a experienced talented qb like Stafford. After the snap, Stafford controls what read he sticks longer with and who he should throw too.

Re: Tutu Atwell
What I meant is that TuTu seemed pissed at Stafford. No was no one ever gives Stafford a hard time and he seemed genuinely upset with him, which is surprising based on his personality type. He was running wide open and was clearly frustrated.Cornell29 wrote: ↑September 28th, 2025, 5:55 pmDon't blame him. Re: Tutu Atwell
Tutu is not going to make the catches that Adams/Puka make on contested catches. He is not going to scrap for extra yardage either. He does keep the defense honest even when we don't throw to him. He still looks like a middle-schooler on the field. He will never be the player to get 9-10 catches a game. Only takes 1-2 though like yesterday.

Re: Tutu Atwell
The big thing about Tutu is, of he gets a step on them, there is nobody in the league who can catch him.

Thats why Stafford will only look his way if he breaks free like he did at the end of the game yesterday.
If I'm Stafford and I am going through my reads, I will look at Puka a second or two longer than anyone else bc of his talent to catch contested catches.
If I see TuTu in tight coverage I will go off that read and move onto my next. I have no issue with that, I just need Stafford to make sure he at least peak at Tutu nearly every play, bc he could have a few steps on the defender.
