Kevin Dotson set to play for Rams, Steve Avila listed as doubtful
Both of the Rams’ starting guards came out of Week 1 with sprained ankles that left them week-to-week, but they took different paths over the course of the week.
Right guard Kevin Dotson didn’t practice on Wednesday and then moved from limited to full participation over the last two days. He has no injury designation and is set to play against the Titans.
Left guard Steve Avila did not practice at all this week and is set to miss the game after being listed as doubtful. Rams head coach Sean McVay said on Friday that the team is still working out who would start in Avila’s place.
Tight end Colby Parkinson (shoulder) is also listed as doubtful. Tyler Higbee, Davis Allen, and Terrance Ferguson are the team’s other tight ends.

Uh Avila, wrap your ankle with medical tape, inject some lidocaine, take a Percocet, you will be fine. It's the fing NFL. Didn't Ronnie Lott cut his finger off at half time, or circumcize himself?

I think I’d rather have him be ready for next week and let the next man up step in this week but yeah at the same time. Suck that injury up and get your ass out there! Haha

Olinemen are not what they were in the 60s and 70s; now it's all about their contract implications with minor injuries.
Get your ass back on the field, just like your aging QB is doing.

Back in the 1960s, Deacon Jones purportedly played in a game with a dislocated thumb which had to be pushed back into its socket regularly, plus of course Jack Youngblood played in Super Bowl XIV with a fracture in his lower leg.
DEs were pretty tough back then, it would seem... :? ;) :x

Well said Commish. I am not implying Avilia isn't injured and we are not seeing all the medical details. BUT, if you can play, play.Commish wrote: ↑September 13th, 2025, 6:44 pmBack in the 1960s, Deacon Jones purportedly played in a game with a dislocated thumb which had to be pushed back into its socket regularly, plus of course Jack Youngblood played in Super Bowl XIV with a fracture in his lower leg.

Steve Avilia is starting to remind me of that "Glass Joe" fighter from the old Mike Tyson punch out game...dude is always hurt!! May need to look into replacing him.
