Cooper Kupp 2 rec for 15 yards in loss to SF
I watched the SF-SEA game and he wasn't a factor at all. We'll see if he ramps up and builds chemistry with Darnold. I love Kupp but this might have been a brutally shrewd move by McVay and Snead.

I watched the game and he definitely has lost a step

Re: Cooper Kupp 2 rec for 15 yards in loss to SF
Well, he was only targeted 3 times, and as I recall, outside the top guy who had 13, nobody else HAD more than 3 targets. So .. maybe he has lost a step, and that might be the reason for the targets .. but when one guy gets 13 and nobody else has more than 3 .. I'd say it's a bit difficult to evaluate their potential impact, jmo
Personally, I'd like to see him have a good year, I have nothing against him. He did well for us, including a season for the ages. If he struggles, so be it, anyone who hangs around long enough eventually will, but I think I'll give him more than 3 targets before I pass judgement

Agree that 1 week is way too small of a sample size. It will be interesting to watch, maybe it's just a slow start. Maybe he didn't get the targets because he didn't get separation. Like I said, I love the guy and wish him the best unless he's playing against the Rams. I think he was set to make $20 mil with the Rams and that was just too much.GoldenRam wrote: ↑September 8th, 2025, 8:51 pm Well, he was only targeted 3 times, and as I recall, outside the top guy who had 13, nobody else HAD more than 3 targets. Stats like these, makes it possible that Kupp returns to the rams next year, where he belongs, on a 1 year cheap vet deal.

Well getting separation was Kupps problem last season. He was near the absolute bottom in the league. It's why he was released. I'd venture to say if he was anywhere near his old self that he'd still be a Ram. And also have more than 3 targets for the Seahawks Sunday in the least if he wasn't still a Ram.49RH8R wrote: ↑September 9th, 2025, 2:37 amAgree that 1 week is way too small of a sample size. He did draw a PI on 4th down that put the ball on the 1 and lead to the Hags only TD!

Why? They're good at WR, even Kupp on a cheap deal would be too much.

Kupp is more done than Puka too. What's that got to do with anything?duanevalle22 wrote: ↑September 9th, 2025, 1:18 pmI 100% agree.... Kupp is more done than Stafford.Ramsfan08ny wrote: ↑September 9th, 2025, 1:05 pm

yeah , he played really bad in the first week of this season . lolduanevalle22 wrote: ↑September 9th, 2025, 11:53 am Kupp is pretty much done... I thought he should have retired, plus Stafford wasn't even looking at Kupp towards the end of last season. I also think Stafford has one foot out the door as well.

Re: Cooper Kupp 2 rec for 15 yards in loss to SF
I have always been a Cooper Kupp fan and i'm thankful for all the great memories. With that being said, Adams is and has always been a better receiver with the exception of the year when Kupp won the triple crown. Davante will end up with the better career numbers for sure. Also, last year was a fluke year for Darnold. He was playing with an elite WR and another very good one. I don't think he will ever be special. I'm glad he signed with the Seahags.

He still cost us a 22 million CAP hit this year...49RH8R wrote: ↑September 9th, 2025, 2:37 amAgree that 1 week is way too small of a sample size. Judge our new coach in his third year. After all our last coach was to game strategy what Yoko Ono was to the Beatles...

9 targets today .. 7 catches 90 yards .. could be blind squirrel, or could be the fact he was actually targeted. Could be Pittsburgh D not so good on the back end. It's a long season .. just see how it plays out

From 3 targets .. Not going to have a lot of catches when you aren't being targeted with throws. You can argue the reasons for the non targets, but the rest is simple math

Re: Cooper Kupp 2 rec for 15 yards in loss to SF
Well .. 5 targets 4 catches just 26 yards. He sure isn't heading downfield .. looks as though they are basically using him as a safety valve for Darnold, which makes him a VERY expensive valve
