Bottom post of the previous page:
But still have holes at CB and ILB. Not to mention an older and injury prone RT, depth at WR and DT. And speed back at RB. All I here is about taking both 1st next year to move up for a QB next year but that is 2 positional players as well not taken. Hope we can hit on our 2nd and third this year. And somehow hit on our later picks.

You asked why they care about next year. Actually next 10 years……….KBLOCK wrote: ↑April 25th, 2025, 12:00 amBut still have holes at CB and ILB. As is the consensus around the league, it was a good trade. A really good trade.
Big picture not a year……….

Re: Rams 2025 NFL Draft Thread
If I were to go by that list...I would say WR or TE. (I really wanted a LB/DB the first pick.) I would not be completely shocked if we took Tyler Shough if he is available. Trey Amos could possibly still be available at #42. I doubt it though.BrooklynRam74 wrote: ↑April 25th, 2025, 8:01 am Schefter has listed 18 intriguing prospects available at top of 2nd round today. Let's say we're not in the market at DE, there are 2 of them, that leaves 16. We pick 15th. We should get one of these. My prediction, WR.
Just PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, don't take Sanders.

I like Schwesinger, or hoping one of the rounds top D-backs drops to us. After that TE, then WR based on suspected available talent @ #46. Lots of good choices 14 picks into the round, most of which would have been worthy of round one as well.

Colin Coward immediate response to the Rams' trade. He and the other host (Middlekauf) are shocked at how crazy the Falcons are. "Rams took them to the cleaners."

Re: Rams 2025 NFL Draft Thread
My first post… No idea what direction Rams will go tonight but here is my preference:
At 46 one of the following:
Azareye'h Thomas, CB
Benjamin Morrison, CB
Mason Taylor, TE
Elijah Arroyo, TE
At 90 one of the following LBs
Demetrius Knight
Danny Stutsman
Chris Paul Jr.
I prefer CB, LB to shore up our defensive needs but wouldn’t be upset if the Rams took a TE. If they went TE, LB the offense gets another playmaker and the LB address the gaping hole in the middle to shore up the run D.

Now the Saints, Raiders and Browns have passed on Sanders… at least TWICE.

The players I wanted are falling off the board. I am still not happy with our trade. I guess I will be happy NEXT YEAR.

Re: Rams 2025 NFL Draft Thread
I am happy with a TE at least. We needed one.
I would have rather had Starks or Campbell though.

Maybe McVay finally picked the TE they’ve wanted for a decade.

Re: Rams 2025 NFL Draft Thread
We have a team full of late round TEs. We needed a good one since Higbee can’t play 2 games in a row. I have been screaming for a TE for awhile.
BUT, I know nothing about this guy. He is no Brock Bowers.

Re: Rams 2025 NFL Draft Thread
I like the pick so long as they use him like Laporta, Hockenson.. Etc. Leave the blocking to Higbee, Parkinson. The guy can be lethal

TE has never been a big part of our game plan. Perhaps it’s personnel. Perhaps it’s the system.

Wanting Bowers and then Loveland was a tell. Deep TE draft, I think Tferg will be good in our offense

Re: Rams 2025 NFL Draft Thread
I currently live in Oregon... Ducks didn't throw a lot to the TE.. but this guy has the ability... And can be an X factor in the Ram offense providing they use him in an H back/move role.

he's definitely a receiving weapon, dude gets open. Rams see it. Our passing game will be really hard to stop

Re: Rams 2025 NFL Draft Thread
Feedback from CBS Sports:
Terrance Ferguson TE, OREG
OVR RK: 84 • POS RK: 6 • HT: 6-5 • WT: 247
My TE2. Big, functional athleticism. High-level run-after-catch ability. Quality blocker too. Has enough smoothness to separate. Will be fun down the seam with Matthew Stafford early in his career. Underrated prospect. Great pick. (Chris Trapasso)
