have to stop Kittle and Deebo over the middle passing attempts.

Most of the 9ers run success has been "up the middle" and outside of the jet sweeps and other trickery from Deebo, the Rams handled the run pretty well...
They let JG pass at will in the final minute of each half and he ended up with 300+ yards...
We didn't lose the last game because the 9ers ran the ball well, we lost because we took our foot off the gas on both Offense and Defense once we got 3 scores ahead when we had all the momentum.....
After the same scenerio almost played out in TB, I'm betting Sean won't let that happen again..
I expect they'll stay aggressive, this time, no matter what the score.... They better or they won't win.

Mcvay tried to keep establishing the run against the Bucs (Mcvay must have been listening to many here) instead of just allowing Stafford to do his thing. With that said, 2 of the turnovers came when the rams were running passing plays. Early snap by Allen and Kupp fumble.

Rams need to keep doing what works whether it's the pass or run, and not try to force what's not working. Also, most of all, protect the ball.

I want to discuss the dreaded prevent. The prevent is old school. With the speed of receivers and the skill of today’s qb’s, the prevent simply does not work anymore to work the clock. All teams need is 13 seconds to dismantle the prevent and score.

The Rams should not play one single down in the prevent.. I don’t care if they are up by 40 with 2 minutes left.

Elijah Mitchell is going to be the main RB this weekend. Wilson may play but EM is a good RB. Deebo will play you can bet on that.

I’m going to support what cornell said last week. Put Howard on Kittle. When on Gronk last Sunday he didn’t do bad…………

Biggest game of year. You put your best the entire game on Samuel. It’s why Ramsey is here for this player and moment…………

hopefully Deebo's knee injury is worse than being reported
Otherwise, the Rams' defenders might have to go with their 'fallback' desperation strategy of actually trying to cover and tackle the guy.

Of course, Raheem Morris might find out that it's truly effective, if executed properly... :) :?

Niners D is what 5th or 6th against the pass and about the same against the run. The are just damn good. Need to be balance early but again you can’t run on heavy run sets by the Niners on first down. Have to get in second and five not second and ten……….

I’m pretty much agreeing with what you said………….

Matchups. You can be sure Shanahan will force Williams to tackle and play physical. Something he isn't good at. I think our D will again have trouble getting the niners off the field. Rams Offense will need to score early and often.

It will come down to our offense against their defense. They have a great defense. 2 out of 5 Stafford's worst QB ratings came against SF. They are no joke. If we can score 27+ points we will win. Need Stafford to continue the no-turnover string. SF has a lot of different looks and are relentless. Need to get them back-peddling on every play.

I'd love to see us work Akers running patterns out of the backfield a little like the GSOT used to use Marshall Faulk. Swing him out sometimes, wheel routes up the sidelines sometimes, and then fake going to the flat with him slanting into the middle area vacated by the linebackers after the WR's and TE's have cleared. Get him the ball with momentum going upfield and I think that good things can happen rather than relying on slow-developing screens.

Rams haven’t been able to run between the tackles vs the niners. I noticed a Woods jet sweep staple was effectively run by VanJefferson Sunday. Probably need a few of those and some fake or reverse jet sweeps to Akers or Michell to keep them honest and focus on the passing game, shorter routes if necessary to avoid the sacks. The OL needs to play their hearts out Sunday.

As many have said before; take the middle of the field away from Crappolo. Play inside leverage on Deebo and Kittle. Green Bay could have had 2 maybe 3 pick sixes when Crappolo threw outside the numbers. He really is not that good. Like Tannehill, he should have been bounced from the playoffs. Green Bay's special teams kept him alive. He has zero touchdown passes and two interceptions in the post season. It is time that the Rams stop making him look like Johnny U!!!!
Agreed 100%!

Jimmy Garoppolo is a mediocre overall QB whom Raheem Morris has been making look like Joe Montana, with defensive schemes which make him much more effective than he otherwise would be.

If the Cowboys hadn't been so poorly coached, this guy would have handed them the victory in the 'wild card' game with his second-half misplays.

Hopefully Morris won't again be doing such an inept job of defending against 'Jimmy G,.' for the third time in less than three months... :( :?

I would love for the rams to whip out parts of the old playbook from last year with all the misdirection and rollouts, but I don't know if Stafford is comfortable or as good on rollouts and Woods (who was a big part of that playbook) is injured

D line should have one tackle delaying their rush every passing play, or a looping outside inside stunt, or a 5th rusher sitting in the middle ready to fire when crapalo steps up in the pocket. Rams can shut crapalo down simply by not allowing him to climb the pocket. Hopefully they have a plan for this.

Thank you 49ers.
The first game this year we got our ass beat. The second game was the most important game of the year. That was when we learned that letting up will get you beat. We learned from that loss and have played stronger and tougher since.
I don't think the rams would be as strong to today if we had not lost week 18.
I feel we now have what it takes to win the next 2 games.
I feel the mind set is completely different.

Totally agree. We will see if they are all in. Because if they are they can throw up 40 points and dominate.

The same playbook last year that got us two losses? I say we scrap everything and go back to the Todd Guerly playbook used to beat the 9’era a few years back. Cam Akers is essential to our chances -3rd time is a charm.

We will win this.
We also can't let the 9er Offense have 17 play 11 minute TD drives either.
The Offense has done enough to win in every loss this year, AFAIC, the Defense leaks too many yards and points too fast... every time they play soft

Honestly I'd like to see McVay run some whams early. Let their linemen penetrate then trap them with a puller. Not sure McVay has that in his playbook though.

Rams ramily. First Of all I want to thank all of you for welcoming me with open arms. Thank you to the administrators. Have some patience with me I go in full detail.

I went to the game first playoff game at Sofi against Arizona. I was lower end zone 123. It was so great seeing the fellas get the win. What I observed was a team flying to the ball and making an early season MVP candidate Kyler Murray look like an XFL quarterback. Von Miller looked like an All pro collapsed the pocket and Ramsey did a great job playing spy on Murray. Donald was Donald and the defense took over the game. Odell looked like a stud

Move to Tampa and this defense made Brady the Goat look the most uncomfortable I’ve seen him all season even more then the New Orleans game. He looked shook. Von Miller had him nervous. In my opinion of all the Division teams we looked the most complete we should’ve won 42-10.

What destroyed us was the marathon clock watching. When the coach seems shook the team takes that identity which leads to fumbles.

Sean Mcvay is the key to us beating the 9ers. If he doesn’t get in the way and run on 3rd and 7 or throw on third and one we will be fine and beat the 9ers easily. They are hurt Trent Williams is hurt Elijah is hurt Debo is hurt. Don’t listen to that bull this team is hurt we should win convincingly 38-10 and leave an exclamation point. All y’all fans going to the game get there early and get loud like we did against Arizona. It helps. Will Michael buffer be back?

I like moving Taylor rapp down to linebacker and having him help on Debo he’s a great hitter but horrible in coverage. Remember what the chargers did having chargers defenders safeties shadow Lamar? I think that can be similar with Debo have Jalen shadow and have Von Miller and Leonard Floyd set the edge and we should be fine I’m confident Aron Donald can handle the middle.

We are bad against the Niners against the run but I think we got it figured out.

Guys have to be tired of hearing the Niners are physical physicality the Rams are finece and soft that’s bull. You think Aaron Donald likes being called soft? Is Aron Donald soft? It’s gonna be a long day for Alex Mack. Go Rams I’m pumped and fluck everybody saying the Niners own us Kyle Shanahan ain’t shlit Sean Mcvay stop kissing his but and pimp slap this punk.

One more point Eric Weddle has been awesome his leadership has been stellar look for him to help with Debo especially helping with Kittle he’s gonna be great with that stuff over the middle look at the tight ends we’ve kept at bay Zach Ertz Rob Gronkowski. Also we gotta involve higby early. I think he’s gonna be huge with the stuff over the middle open with Beckham and Kupp creating that. Look for Stafford to target him early.

Weddles gonna be huge for us. He says all the guys are locked in. He knows how to cover tight ends went up head to head against a hall of famer every day in practice Antonio Gates.

Sounds like from what I’ve been reading that the Niners crowd will be the majority once again … Per StubHub, 43% of ticket sales for the NFC Championship game is coming from Northern California, nearly double the Week 18 game
