Votes are already done its a regular season award and Rodgers is winning it
Still, there might be some snickering from people remembering the guy's mediocre performance vs. the 49ers in that NFC divisional-round contest--especially Packers fans.
"Nine playoff appearances with no return to the Super Bowl..." :( :P

Didn't Marino and Fouts do something similar?Commish wrote: ↑January 23rd, 2022, 7:51 pmAgreed!Ncromwell21 wrote: ↑January 23rd, 2022, 7:04 pm

He will get Offensive Player of the Year though. Unfortunately, MVP always goes to QBs.

Re: Cooper Kupp…
Well, Dan Fouts never reached the Super Bowl as the Chargers' QB, despite numerous postseason appearances, while Dan Marino reached it once as the Dolphins' QB, during his second NFL season (1984), but lost to the 49ers.
Marino had to believe that he would return to the Super Bowl over his career, yet it never happened. His best shot was during the '92 playoffs, when the Dolphins had home field vs. the Bills in the AFC championship game. However, his team (himself included) came out playing 'as flat as a pancake' and ended up being stomped by something like 29-10.
So never count on "next year"... :o :?

Re: Cooper Kupp…
The reference was they were in the playoffs many years but never won anything. But boy do they have stats... Rivers is another, but yeah I remember the game you mentioned.Commish wrote: ↑January 23rd, 2022, 8:10 pmWell, Dan Fouts never reached the Super Bowl as the Chargers' QB, despite numerous postseason appearances, while Dan Marino reached it once as the Dolphins' QB, during his second NFL season (1984), but lost to the 49ers.
