Two headed RB monster
Michel and Akers make this Rams offense really dangerous. And Cam Akers is who we thought he was. An incredibly tough and shifty runner who finishes runs.
It's awesome that we have two tough MFers in the backfield for this Super bowl run.

Having two tough MFer RBs has helped more than a few teams come playoff time.ADonaldBeast wrote: ↑January 18th, 2022, 9:22 am

Last night:
30 rushes, 17 passes in a play mixture that showed McVay knew exactly how to attack last night. As one of the fans who has never given up on the Rams’ need to run the ball, I could hardly ask for more. So happy with that.
Akers and Michel totaled 113 yds on the ground plus Akers had a nice catch for 40 and 95 yds total offense.
Michel 4.4 yds/carry
Akers 3.2
Akers post-game per LA Times:
“I knew we were going to lean on the running backs a lot and we were ready for the challenge.”

Re: Two headed RB monster
It was great to see. But this is the playoffs and I don't think we have that team that can dominate on the ground like this every week. Tampa took this away from Philly and after seeing this will probably take it away from us. I think we will have to do it through the air.harkin wrote: ↑January 18th, 2022, 9:40 amHaving two tough MFer RBs has helped more than a few teams come playoff time.ADonaldBeast wrote: ↑January 18th, 2022, 9:22 am

We might, both of the Rams last two wins over the Bucs were pass-heavy. Goff and Stafford combined for 89 pass attempts in those wins.Rammer wrote: ↑January 18th, 2022, 9:59 am

Akers had two big plays get called back on iffy penalties by the O-line as well-he would have had about 150 yards without the lame penalties.....

He runs with FURY! Such a great mix of speed and strength.BrooklynRam74 wrote: ↑January 18th, 2022, 10:29 am For Akers to be THIS good after a Torn Achilles in July? Truly astounding. This man is a BEAST.

McVay pretty much just abandoned the run game and threw the ball all over them last game earlier this year

Re: Two headed RB monster
The scary thing is Akers is absolutely fresh, rested, and hungry at the end of the season, when most RBs are walking with a limp.

Akers is a #1 RB and a game-breaking threat if/when healthy. Michel is a fill-in. When Michel is in the defense is normally playing the pass and reacting to the run. I hope Akers can stay healthy.

Re: Two headed RB monster
It’s because their pass D is just ok, middle ranking in league, while their run D is one of the best in the league…………
Exploiting weaknesses…………….

Need to get them to respect run game early…………
Our offense will need to complete passes to win in this one………..
