Re: Blake and Eric elevated
I'm fine with that.
Ramsey plays man on AJ, DW plays man on Kirk, and Long/DD plays man on Moore. Howard plays man on Ertz.
With a single high safety.
If rams play that soft zone, then all bets are off. The rams need to play alot of man coverage tonight.

Not really. Doubt the Rams will be in man on early downs much. They'll probably run some kind of combo route trying to get the safety to jump the underneath route and then hit them over the top. They'll test them early I think. Not sure who will be playing deep in this game. Mix of Scott, Weddle, and Countess. I don't think they want Burgess back there unless they have two safeties deep.Cornell29 wrote: ↑January 17th, 2022, 10:55 amI'm fine with that.

That's the problem. Play more man coverage with a single high safety. And some cover 2 defense.toast49 wrote: ↑January 17th, 2022, 11:01 amNot really. Can't do that against Murray much or he'll just take off and run it.Cornell29 wrote: ↑January 17th, 2022, 11:05 amThat's the problem. Play more man coverage with a single high safety. Re: Blake and Eric elevated
The front 5 needs to do a controlled contained pass rush. Stay in your lanes. Reeder can play zone in the middle or one of the safeties.
I want the rams to play the same aggressive attacking style that the Lions used against the cards. Rams have the corners to man up and the rams have the front to attack.

Weddle may play more.. a lot more than he should, but one thing is for sure.... There won't be any defensive alignment problems when he is on the field. Weddle getting beat is another matter...

Re: Blake and Eric elevated
That's what Weddle brings. He might get beat or be to slow to get to where he needs to be but he should have the rams aligned up properly. Unlike Rapp, I doubt he'll be back their covering grass.

Re: Blake and Eric elevated
I'm looking and hoping Blake fits out there too. I know he gets overlooked but he was a solid backup for the rams. I liked him more then Scott. Unfortunately the rams couldn't afford him. The rams asked him to take a pay cut and he said no.
