Odell Beckham
What a nice surprise. Many folks said he was a cancer that would bring this team down, but the timing was right. Nobody could have known that shortly after picking him up that Woods would go down for the season. From the way the announcers were talking yesterday he is very happy in this offense. From what I have seen, he is buying in. He doesn’t catch the most balls and he isn’t the player who is most targeted, but he plays in his role. He blocks, he makes playes and so far I haven’t seen any negatives. Many thought he would be detrimental to the growth of Jefferson, but so far they all seem to be working well together.
While Stafford has bumbled a lot of plays and tried to lose games for us this season, I still think if we can bring this offense back next year with Kupp, Woods, Beckham, Jefferson, and Higbee along with Akers, Michel, and Henderson we are going to have something special on offense. Not to mention the D should be even more improved with Donald, Gaines, Floyd, Miller, Ramsey etc. getting another offseason to work together. I’m excited and I believe the future is still bright.

Re: Odell Beckham
I was against the move. I was also wrong.
He's been rock solid.

I sure hope he stays next year. I just worry that when woody comes back. Some one will be on the side line.

Nah, he's gone. Only so much loot to go around.
I bet he gets decent money on a good team. He'd be great on the Pats, Chiefs, or Packers.

Re: Odell Beckham
Everything with him like most will depend on how the Playoffs play out...
Rather have a guy like him on my team then have to game plan for him..
Maybe Les will find a way to keep him .. we'll see..

Re: Odell Beckham
If we could only have two i’d take Kupp and Woods. Both very reliable and neither with any negative issues. But I think we keep all 4.

Re: Odell Beckham
True, he could have gone anywhere. He didnt. He improved his resume. I was against the move, I could not have been more wrong. He's been a true professional. I don't see any chance that they are able to keep him, or Michel. Both improved their stock at the right time, and perhaps the right place. I could see OBJ in KC next year taking Josh Gordon's place. I could see Houston giving Michel starters money, which the Rams could not offer.
With that said, both players have been huge for the Rams, but they are in good shape at both positions, and while I do worry about Akers durability after the injury he is coming back from, they have limited cap space to do what they need to do in other areas.

He could of gone to GB after he left Cleveland. Didn’t hear anything about any other team……………NN1Badboy wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2022, 8:35 pmHe could have gone to any of them this year. He didn’t.D-GenerationX wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2022, 8:02 am Nah, he's gone. Only so much loot to go around.

His exit from Cleveland was one that others were not aggressively seeking his services……………
Agree with x. Can’t see how we will be able to afford him…………..

Re: Odell Beckham
Listen OBJ has been nice, he’s still learning the offense and has made an average of 1.5 impact plays per game
He’s gonna be 30 next season
I was for the trade, I think when he gets the full O and comfort with Staff, he’s going to be a beast
I don’t think he’s a 12MM guy anymore maybe we can keep him, but Kupp Trees and OBJ has gotta be the most expensive trio in the league

Re: Odell Beckham
Michel hasn't gotten a big payday yet so he's most likely going to the highest bidder. The Rams WR room is crowded so we cannot afford OBJ either. Sorry, just keepin' it real. I hope we get good comp picks for both.
Our OL will be potentially decimated by free agency so we will have to spend some money there. Whitworth could retire and the following are FA's - Shelton, Allen, Corbett, Noteboom. Ouch!

Re: Odell Beckham
Odell Beckham, Jr. and Von Miller were always "part-of-a-season rentals," it seems to me.
Sony Michel, I'm not certain how much of a demand there will be for his services--that might depend on how effectively the Rams perform in the playoffs.
Hopefully Cam Akers and Robert Woods will be back at full strength next season... ;)
