Nice to hear that, especially from you two
. Lol, now some may say you’re backtracking and covering your butts from Goff loving moms negative attitudes, especially you Toast BUT in the end, we want the same thing.because clearly tonight we saw the differences between Goff and Stafford…. No excuses, right?

Re: Staffords Best Game
I understand you love Goff, not saying that i disrespect. But Stafford made throws tonight that imo Goff couldn’t of. Saying that, no one gives Morris credit and I believe he deserves more credit than given. It’s all perspective. BUT no matter what, tonight was a great freaking win. I expected a collapse and it didn’t happen, shame on me!HellRam wrote: ↑December 13th, 2021, 9:27 pmI've never been negative I just don't have a problem calling a spade a spade. I'm actually rarely ever negative to the Rams. I'm just not a full blown homer either.armyram wrote: ↑December 13th, 2021, 9:22 pm Nice to hear that, especially from you two. When Stafford plays good he gets credit. Same as it was with me for Goff.

They Gave up almost 500 yards and way too many big plays, most as a result of soft prevent type coverages...armyram wrote: ↑December 13th, 2021, 9:37 pmI understand you love Goff, not saying that i disrespect. AFAIC, the Offense bailed the Defense out in this game for sure.
Unlike during the losing streak the offense was able to stay on the field, use clock, make 1st downs and score points.
They didn't just flip it back to them 3 and out tonight and the D was out there for fewer series.
Could have been real ugly w/o the offensive game and AD's 4 big plays and for me highlights even more of how much of a detriment that unit is to the team under Morris' leadership.
It will be the biggest cause if we don't get where we want to go...

Re: Staffords Best Game
When we heard Ramsey was out, just about every one thought this was a loss. The defense set the tone from the start, not the offense. Arizona is a very strong team so yes, we are going to give up yards. It was a great win but watch the game, the defense made the key plays that allowed us to win the game. The offense did too. That’s a winning formula. I’m just saying… Morris deserves some props tonightRampager66 wrote: ↑December 13th, 2021, 9:50 pmThey Gave up almost 500 yards and way too many big plays, most as a result of soft prevent type coverages...armyram wrote: ↑December 13th, 2021, 9:37 pm I understand you love Goff, not saying that i disrespect. Beating the bucs does not count ?HellRam wrote: ↑December 13th, 2021, 9:34 pmI think you guys left your own knitting party....unfortunately![]()
Just playing....well I did say Stafford would bounce back and have good games after the GB loss. I'm not surprised he did. However, tonight was the first game I felt he played elite throughout the game. To me this was his first real test. Don't get me wrong its fun beating the Jags, Lions, Texans, Gaints and all. But its hard to gwt hyped over that. Tonight is a completely different story.

Re: Staffords Best Game
Stafford. Kupp. Defensive front. Jones. Just a great effort. This team played physical and with 100% heart. I love it. Was hoping for the best, expected to get beat. Glad to be proven wrong. Stafford looked like an MVP again. Great game. We are BACK!!
...still peeved about the dropped int to seal the game, and the onside kick. But other than that they were outstanding.

Re: Staffords Best Game
The throw to Jefferson was beautiful. One thing I do like about Stafford is he always takes those shots deep. And as long as they are on 1st or 2nd down I’m good with it.
It’s when it’s 3rd and 7 range where he goes for the low % bomb instead of attempting an easier 1st down throw that bothers me.
Kupp, 13 catches on 15 targets was a phenomenal game. I def think Stafford has shown he plays better when he just throws it a million times to Kupp. And maybe without Higbee he depended more on Kupp tonight but I think he’s better when he does that

Re: Staffords Best Game
Stafford played a great game, Kupp too. AD and defense stepped up. Secondary without Ramsey was awesome. Pieces fitting together somehow. It was great to see. Just maybe a little bit of struggling has brought them closer together as a team.

He was rock solid last night. Did everything asked of him and executed it well.
Big win in a big spot. That's what you need from your QB1.

That shot to Stafford rib cage against the jags must have straightened his back up bc he's been consistently throwing dimes ever since.

Re: Staffords Best Game
He did. And he will continue to if he can get the pass pro and resemblance of a run game like he did last night. TENN destroyed the Rams upfront early. SF did the same physically. It definitely starts upfront. Rams need to provide average protection, and run the ball effectively to give Stafford a chance to get dialed in. He can hit some pretty impressive windows, but get a QB pressured into forcing things, and…
Against a lot of last minute setbacks yesterday, the Rams came out swinging hard.

For spot on accuracy Stafford's performance last night was the best by a Rams QB in a long time. Unfortunately, the team does not have much time to enjoy their effort. Big games in the next four weeks. No let downs.

Re: Staffords Best Game
I still don't like the idea of penalizing the qb because the wr had 3 steps on the wr instead of one. A qb should get the same positive points if they complete a pass to a wr whether he has three or more steps on the defender vs one.HellRam wrote: ↑December 14th, 2021, 2:37 pmGood stuff!
I think pff had Stafford rated so because of how well the oline has played and our recievers being open so much due to the weaker competition we've played. Last night in AZ Stafford made the offense click and he threw recievers open consistently. There were multiple wow throws last night.
This is the Stafford we need in the playoffs. If he shows up when it counts they'll be no more debating if the trade was worth it or not.
In this game, unlike some others, there wasn't any blown coverages so Stafford got the full credit for each of his completed passes. Still don't totally agree with the PFF style of grading.

How does PFF not give AD99 at lease a 99? His performance was off the charts.

Re: Staffords Best Game
The line did a good job giving Staff as much time as needed, and the throw was choice. The Short pass to Kupp for the TD was another as well as the dime to Kupp for 43 yards.BrooklynRam74 wrote: ↑December 16th, 2021, 8:56 am Rewatching Cards game. Stafford's pass to OBJ over the middle on 3rd and Long with 8 minutes to go in the 2nd was amazing. He shot-putted the ball with traffic in his face (took a cheap shot that should have been a Penalty) for a huge conversion. Also, great hands and heart by OBJ on the play. This guy's a keeper.
And of course, VJ's TD. This game we saw the Stafford we all thought we were getting AFAIC.
