As a Ram fan since the early 60s I can only say it depends on which Ram team shows up.

It’s been a long time since I felt I knew.

Rams can't beat titans. How can they beat the god of commercials?
Then why do you even bother?

Agreed ..at the very least they must win this game to reassure the fans that they are still a viable team to win the SB. Losing this game IMO pretty much takes them out of the SB contender conversation.

I'll take the Rams. We have little or no quality depth at multiple positions on the team but our DC's scheme is supposedly designed to stop passing attacks with pocket passers, (Brady & Rodgers). We could fail on either side of the ball but this is a target opponent.

If the Rams run the ball 25 times, I think they can win it. If they decide no running game is needed, it’s a 100% loss.

Call me optimistic but I think Stafford will have a rebound game, McVay will expand his playbook and looks and Rodgers who already has excuses lined up with have a sub-par game after someone 'inadvertently' steps on his toe. Go Rams!

I think we'll know early. If Stafford is on early and we get the quick lead, we go on to win. If Stafford is over-hyped early, turns it over and we fall behind, it will be a long day and a long plane ride home. The wheels start to come off with a loss.
I think this will be the most important game of the regular season.

Thing is the Pack has so many players out in this game. They're down two left tackles, their top corner in Alexander, their top LB in Smith, top RB in Jones. The Rams cannot lose this game.

Sports is entertainment. Win or lose, my life is the same. I still enjoy it for what it is.
Have you ever played on a sports team at any level Harold?
The scripted outcome theory you stick to is unlikely because the players would never have been able to keep a lid on.it. Or are you suggesting for the refs are in on it? Fixing games?
How can you enjoy the gamesmanship or the rostered members induvidual plays?

Lololol the typical robot response that has nothing to do with anything. Your Al Bundy glory days have nothing to do with billion dollar entertainment that only selects the few.

This is an old and tired idea . If you're making 6 or 7 digits you have no reason to want to sacrifice that cash cow. Who cares if you lose for 6 digits or more a year or week? You wouldn't. The fact is you have been told countless times in print and media that it's entertainment but you don't have the critical thought or insight to pay attention.
Is some dumb jock going to challenge a billion dollars of ownership and lawyers and tv networks and news media in bed with all of it? Of course not.
And even worse might happen to them.
Because you know what? You have been told by players..and the first thing you do is complain oh he was a no name or he's crazy etc.. you're making excuses to not look at this logically. You can't afford to. It would destroy your world view.

You aren't watching competition. It's entertainment. It's distraction. They make a million dollars because they are just as willing to drop a ball when told to, as they are to actually catch it. It's not a crime. The nfl is legally allowed to have any outcome they want. It's a tv show, it's not a competition.

The refs and players are nfl employees. They do as told. It's that simple. You don't find it fishy that all refs gave head sets now? Do you think you really know what goes on in those coaching booths all around the stadium with everyone hooked up to communicate? Where in the hell do men your age get the idea that a billion dollar industry has some kind of honest intention? Where? How? That's not how life works. It never was/has
wow Harold, you've really thought this through. you have an answer for everything. and all your answers are BS. give us some proof the whole thing is rigged otherwise your reading of things is just an opinion. your opinion.
I can't fathom why you think that it would be better to script outcomes when the 'competition' is what the game is all about.
Why even watch? To see the pretty uniforms and to witness what the rich owners scripted? Sad existence really.
And now I'm even more certain you never laced them up or you wouldn't think this way.

I've given proof 200 times. And I just explained how your cognitive dissonance won't allow you to see it. Absolutely nothing you've said proves me wrong. Just more silly contradictions and insults like a child on a playground. The only reason the sport is entertainment to millions is because they alter the outcomes.

Really? No sadder than someone living vicariously through a team on his tv screen. You don't make any sense with this remark.
....why even watch a movie? The outcome was already decided.
How is looking for truth and reality a sad existence?
How is questioning anything, sad?
Whether you played has nothing to do with the billion dollar industry on your tv. I played plenty. It's irrelevant to anything being talked about. You didn't play for millions. You don't have a lengthy contract that obligates you to your team owner. You have no clue what goes on other than you see guys run around in your tv.
Harold I have quite a few friends who are professional football players and none of them have ever heard of your assertion. You're a conspiracy theorist and that's all there is to it.. Enjoy your take and enjoy the games through whatever filter you watch them.

You're full of a stuffing, man. You don't know anyone or you're too gullible to understand you're lied to.
If you're remotely telling the truth..You didn't really ask them in any hardcore sense. You just set them up with a sheepish little ",is it staged? And they know they don't want to hurt your feelings.

Marginal players don't need to know anything. All they need to know is run the play.the stars ,the refs the coaches and owners are the keys. You know either dumb marginal players or liars. You have to be a complete doofus to not realize you're watching a manipulated staged event.
But again ,you're just text on the internet so you're probably lying. I've also seen plenty of "I know refs", comments where they say they are told to push games a certain direction. It's bloody obvious the way penalties are called to kill drives and take away TDs etc..
I'm absolutely correct and right and I've known so for about 7 years now. The world ain't the obvious , simplistic Candy land you hope for.
Hell, the last two years should have taught you that.

Well we know that some sports games are fixed. And that there is cheating at the upper levels, whether owners college ADs and above or regulatory bodies. We find out when it is exposed and publicized. There are probably other instances that are either not caught or not publicized. In most cases the fixing is limited to a player or a ref or a time clock official. The more people involved, the more chance of being caught. And publicized or not they are almost always caught, often by the sports books.
So, if one was to believe in a league-wide fixing cabal, you'd have to believe that the sports books are in on it as well. They do not allow their profits to be hit.
Also, of all the sports that need game scripting, the NFL is not it. The NFL with profit sharing, has always banked on parity to succeed. Their games are followed heavily by fans of other teams who don't have a rooting interest. Therefore they can stand a Jacksonville/Green Bay SB far easier than the NBA can stand a Portland/Charlotte final or baseball a Seattle/Tampa WS.
Finally, any league that scripts outcomes for success and represents their biggest market with the J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets is better off not even trying.

McVay runs the ball three times and then throws it 47.

We lose tomorrow. I see no other outcome, unfortunately.

In other words you can't defend your position. You just get defensive because your view of reality is challenged. You were trained to think one way. This is how you were conditioned by school and tv.
A fact is only a fact to you if an authority figure tells you to think that way.
I don't have to defend my position on none of this.. It's your BS.... And you have been failing at defending it for as long as I've known you...

You keep deflecting and contradicting. You haven't been able to counter a single thing I've said. Telling me it's BS and I'm failing isn't a counter argument. It doesn't prove you right.
I've given countless examples as I just did above. It's your comprehension that's the issue.
Yes , sure, ask around to a mob of cognitive dissonant bias.
Lol at acting as though something wrong is happening to you. You're insulting another adult over entertainment you watch on tv. Living vicariously through teams and players who don't care you exist. Win or lose, they make millions. You get nothing.
