I thought overall Goff had a good game. We totally lost this game in the trenches, IMO.

Re: Game Thread - Rams at Packers
we down by 14 with 5 minutes to go and Mcvay calling screens.. Goff shit, slow release, can't run.. whatever you want to say.. but we take zero fucking shots downfield ever to make our receivers try and make plays. Coach better change his ways next year cause it aint just the QB anymore.

Goff plays with a broken thumb and is ridiculed. Donald plays poorly with probably broken ribs, commits an absolutely stupid penalty and yet not one peep of criticism. Interesting. The Rams need a defense and some offensive lineman.

Came up short but only four NFC teams still playing today and they were one of them. Lots to build upon.

Re: Game Thread - Rams at Packers
That was basically an ass whooping 488-244 yardage, and that's with Goff playing a pretty decent game not making any bad mistakes.
Packers just really far above the Rams. Don't see that changing unless the QBs change, either Rodgers retires or Rams draft a Rodgers caliber QB.
In this era, these elite offenses with elite QBs are too dominant. Can't scheme against them with the current rules

This. He and Akers played well tonight. Jefferson and Woods had some moments too. The rest of the team? Forget it.luckenbill56 wrote: ↑January 16th, 2021, 4:23 pm Let us keep the anti Goff BS to a whisper. This is not on him.

Rams dont have a take the top off the defense wr like GB does.
Rams ol isn't as good as GB ol.
You are right GB has a better qb, but if you know where to find another AR please tell the rams. They don't come along very often.

AD cares. He isnt the type who just says "Oh well onto next year."

Re: Game Thread - Rams at Packers
They were smart to limit his play today. He wanted to go but he couldn’t. I’m just glad his injury didn’t get worse. Packers were the better team today but the Rams best defensive player wasn’t right. Maybe next year. AD should be Defensive Player of the Year.

0 sacks. Hardly any pressure on Rodgers. And 500 yards of offense. Spells doom. Thought this defense would have a chance. Huge disappointment!!

Cornell29,
"Everybody wants a Rogers." Well stated. Unfortunately, every year some silly team thinks the next one is in the Draft.

Re: Game Thread - Rams at Packers
I don't hate Goff I could care less, its just want to win. Even the Jags take shots downfield a couple of times a game. this is not about every pass has to be perfect. Give the WR a chance for a 50/50, a PI something.. its unreal how everything is underneath 80% of the time. I know this was on the D but down by 7.. when we stalled and had momemtum.. the run was working and he just abandoned it. Man this Mcvay drives me nuts.Cornell29 wrote: ↑January 16th, 2021, 4:31 pmA few things, I know you hate Goff and all.Bruce77 wrote: ↑January 16th, 2021, 4:28 pm we down by 14 with 5 minutes to go and Mcvay calling screens.. Re: Game Thread - Rams at Packers
Yes, a good game for Goff, 174 yards??? Really??? Once again, y’all’s expectations of a franchise QB is so freaking low it’s disgusting. He didn’t lose the game for us or turn the ball over but with Goff, we don’t go deep and take the risk any QB would. And his mobility is atrocious. I’m not blaming this loss on him but he’s gotta bring something to the table besides an occasional nice pass. Nope, our trenches held up as good as expected.... someone has to make a play. Someone has to make a play, we need a playmaker.

Way up above. Yep, the screen call was stupid. McVay at times can be exasperating.

Re: Game Thread - Rams at Packers
I think its a good use of draft capital to keep looking for one though, given how valuable they are. The Chiefs had an in his prime Alex Smith, and that didn't stop them from seeing a guy they thought as having a ton of potential Mahomes, and drafting him. And Mahomes took the Chiefs to an entirely different level.luckenbill56 wrote: ↑January 16th, 2021, 4:41 pm Cornell29,

I hope the Rams take this proactive approach in their drafts. If they see a QB they think can take them to a level higher than Goff, they need to take a shot at getting him.

Why don't we just bring back Bradford. Get Goff out of here it's all his fault. The Defense and Oline sucked PERIOD.

Re: Game Thread - Rams at Packers
Again the rams problems are bigger than qb. Especially today. The answer is to fix the ol and get a take the top off the defense, wr. Trade/cut Goff if he doesn't live up to his contract 2 years from now, when his contract is movable.armyram wrote: ↑January 16th, 2021, 4:45 pmSo settle for mediocre!!!
