Because we didn’t learn from the Tavon Austin experiment. Now I realize this is a different regime, but this was just plain stupid.
At number four should have been letting safety John Johnson walk. We should have found a way to keep him.
I was on the fence about number 5. I really liked Hekker, but that other guy was looking phenomenal during preseason.

been preaching about #1 all year....just one of the worst decisions ever.
#4 is unacceptable as well. Long has never been good not sure why they thought he would do better.

Yeah, I said it several times in pre draft discussing that we needed to focus on the O-line. Now look where we are. I don’t think TuTu will ever be anything special. Maybe a gadget play here and there.

Saw that article the other day, this stood out:
“Humphrey has the highest run-blocking grade of any center in the NFL and the fifth-best pass-blocking grade, per Pro Football Focus. He’s the fifth-highest graded offensive lineman in football”
The really crazy thing is that after the Rams took Tutu, the Chiefs had the next pick but didn’t snap up Humphrey, they took LB Nick Bolton, another player that could have filled a Ram need.
Humphrey fell a few more picks and the Chiefs grabbed him with their second 2nd rounder.
