If we returned to the old NFL days. I believe it would matter little to Rogers. However, Brees, Brady, and Big Ben would be out of the league.

I think its a good use of draft capital to keep looking for one though, given how valuable they are. The Chiefs had an in his prime Alex Smith, and that didn't stop them from seeing a guy they thought as having a ton of potential Mahomes, and drafting him. And Mahomes took the Chiefs to an entirely different level.

I hope the Rams take this proactive approach in their drafts. If they see a QB they think can take them to a level higher than Goff, they need to take a shot at getting him.

Getting guys like Mahomes requires picking high in the draft. The way the rams keep making the playoffs and finishing above .500, I doubt they will be in position to anytime soon.

Rams defense couldn’t get off the field but it’s Goff and the offense at fault. If they had that playmaker QB today and your speed wide receiver they would have watched over half the game from the sidelines but you haven’t figured that out yet.

QB in Pro Football is the most important SINGLE position in professional sports. Many quarterbacks are good, but there are very few great ones. Goff got the Rams to the Super Bowl. Therefore, is he really a failure? Rogers sat on the bench for years behind one of the most overrated QBs of all time in my opinion. Favre was never as good as Rogers. I repeat never. Goff keeps the Rams in the hunt. After more than a decade of having no chance. He is a major improvement from where we were.

Deep to who? I watch the game I didnt see a wr running open down the field and Goff missed him. No one was open. The TV commentary said the same thing. They would have shown the miss opportunity on a replay if Goff missed somebody open. Goff use to hit Cooks down the field all the time. He even did in against the saints in the playoff game. There isn't any, take the top off the defense, wr on the team. Goff didn't just dink and dunk. Look at the 1st quarter drive.

Cornell, as I said, I respect you for standing by your QB and he did not have a bad game but he also didn’t make plays to win the game. We agree to disagree, but we will not win a SB with him because he doesn’t have a strength in his game

Its not about standing by Goff. Its only about 4 or 5 qbs in the nfl that had a chance of out dueling Rodgers if they had a ram uniform on today.
Find me a way to get Mahomes, Watkins maybe Allen or Brees or Brady and I'll be all for it. You replace Goff with any other quarterback other than those 5, they still lose today.
Allen, despite having more weapons then Goff didn't out perform Goff today.

Yes, a good game for Goff, 174 yards??? Really??? Once again, y’all’s expectations of a franchise QB is so freaking low it’s disgusting. I’ve posted multiple times that Goff is a system QB who is only as good as those surrounding him, so I’m not a Goff apologist or fanboy. However, he completed 21 of 27 passes with zero turnovers. He had a couple pass completions for distance, but was often pressured or it appeared his wr weren’t open. Conversely, Rodgers had all day to make plays and his wr get open. Their Oline was far superior to the Rams. Several times they were blocking our safeties on run plays.

Amazingly, Goff and the offense are still the focus and the swiss cheese overhyped D that couldn't make 1 stinkin play all game long gets a free pass.... again. Oh wait. Our all world Defender did donate a 15 yard sore bitch loser penalty to display some of his great leadership qualities... And wasn't our all universe corner on point as well ....
But Goff should have been able to out gun AR12 in spite of all this and bail us out with limited opportunities and them dictating the play. Cause John Wolford would have for sure because well.... Goff sucks

Never mind that GB had the ball for 13+ minutes more, ran 22 more plays, w/o benefit of a takeaway, had 6 sustained scoring drives netting 4 TD's and 2 FG's and a 7th where they kneeled in victory formation inside our 5 and played with a the lead all day.... but Goff sucks...

No matter how much you try you can't pin this on the offense. Few possessions, and constantly playing from behind they managed to keep us in the game until the D broke again in the 2nd half surrendering a 60 yard run that lead to an easy 7 and a 58 yard TD pass.
If the D really was what they were sold to be, 18 points would have been enough... a total that would have been higher if the D could have got off the field and gave us more possessions..

Fact is Goff played 2 playoff road games with a broken thumb and didn't turn it over once and did a decent job running things... 1 Win and and within 1 score into the 4th Q in the other.

All I heard was the rams had a SB defense. They just needed a offense that didn't turn over the ball and can score a few tds.

We found out yesterday that wasn't true. The rams D played the worse out of all the teams that played yesterday.

That's 6 of the 7 worst Offenses and 13 vs weaker or weakened offenses in 17 games but they still managed to lose 7 times. Elite defenses would not let that happen..
Jets, Bills and 2nd 9ers games were all lost at the end because the D couldn't finish after we came back and 3 games that would have given us the No.1 seed in the conference.
Next year they play, Indy, Ten, Hou, Jax, Chi, GB, Min, Det, Car, Dallas and our 6 divisional games. Based on this years No.s, there's few weak offenses there
The D will be lucky to finish top half next year, which is really who they are imo.
Some team will regret giving Staley the Head Coaching position based on this skewed 1 year sample size. Ditto for Robert Saleh, his D played the same sched and finished 5th overall, Arizona 13th.

Rams defense definitely came up small yesterday. I believe they are overrated too. They are not the Ravens D of 2000, or Pats D of 2001 or Tampa D of 2002.

They aren't the Tampa D of 1999 either. That Tampa D went on the road and limited the GSOT in the NFC championship game. I was hoping for a similar performance against the Green Bay defense. I was wrong.

defense played terrible yesterday. way too many dropped INT's by our defense. In one drive towards the end of the 1st half our DB's dropped 2 picks back to back. You can't do that and expect to win the game.

wasn't the OL ranked #3 overall in PFF??? Thought I remember hearing that. Rams aren't going to win with a mediocre QB. Just not going to happen. Defense played great all year until yesterday. We need to get a solid run stuffer DT, LB's and OL. Unfortunately because of his contract we are stuck with Goff so Rams better figure out what to do in spite of him.

Because Rodgers is the best QB IN THE NFL IMO. That is why he gets a pass. Brees is arguably the most accurate passer in NFL history. Goff on the other hand has the most turnovers of any QB in the NFL since 2019. I could go on and on

Because Rodgers is the best QB IN THE NFL IMO. That is why he gets a pass. Brees is arguably the most accurate passer in NFL history. Goff on the other hand has the most turnovers of any QB in the NFL since 2019. I could go on and on

On Brady we can agree. Rodgers is the best right now if stats are all that matters. Here's a guy who claims he hasn't made it back to the SB because he hasn't had home field advantage and cold weather to play in. I would suggest that the best shouldn't need special circumstances for that to happen.

I don't think the Packers had a good defense for many years. Look at the rosters too. GB doesn't attract many FA's either. Think he's done pretty well considering

Rodgers is just a special player and if he throws picks once in a while IMO who cares. He makes so many other plays he does get the hall pass. I hope Goff hits the weight room in the off season and really gets serious about next year. I don't think there is a fan on this forum that wishes ill will towards him. We all want him to succeed.
