Rams need to rebuild a fanbase which can take 10 or more years. At least the rams dropping to 4 means very little, the rams dont have much of a home field advantage anyway.

However, given the Rams' past three seasons of pathetically collapsing in archrival showdowns vs. the 49ers, their local fans are certainly justified in not expending time, effort and money to watch multimillionaire players who can't be bothered to make a serious effort on the field.

On a side note, the team's management is showing incredible 'chutzpah' via actually advertising the sale of "2021 NFC West Champions" clothing at this point... :) :P

This about sums it up. I'm not making excuses for the laid-back So. Cal. fan base but support is a generational thing. I became a fan going to the games back in the Coliseum with my Dad in the 70s when the Rams owned the 9'ers. Those memories make a lifelong fan. When the Rams moved to Anaheim they lost a lot of their traditional fan base.

Orange Country is comprised of many transplants and the Rams while good on the field never seemed to capture a new fan base there to replace the old. Then the 7-times-married-former-show-girl with the full support of Stan K. moved the team to St. Louie, which for many long-term Ram fans ended their support and ties to the team. You could argue the moved killed several generations of fan support

The marketing for the return to L.A. focused on both Goff and Gurley neither of whom panned out for long. The rebranding of the team with its new uniform and logo was pretty much a disaster and so it goes. 9er fans taking over SoFi on Sunday sickened me, it was pathetic and I called it out over and over on the game day chat. No excuses but as in most things there is an historical reason how it came to pass...NorCal and Brooklyn don't get me wrong I absolutely agree with you both, it was an embarrassment and the team deserved better...

Cramming their leftists ideals down everyone's throat is not political as far as they're concerned,
We see the self anointed thread/thought police trying to curb free speech all over the place, deeming what they don't agree with as not worthy of being a thread or message.
Claiming to speak for the whole site because the same 2 or 3 people gave them a thank you AGAIN....
And it's cancel culture for anyone who disagrees with or gives back to them what they dish out ala the ignore button.

The Rams don't usually 'play scared' when facing the Cardinals and Seahawks, however they have done exactly that during their last six matchups with the 49ers, probably because Sean McVay is intimidated by Kyle Shanahan and his fear is transmitted to his players.

I'm figuring that the 2021 divisional championship stuff shouldn't go on sale until the Spring Equinox at the earliest, our team should currently be feeling deep embarrassment about the way it 'backed into' the NFC West title via sheer good luck.

I now own a "2018 NFC Champions" t-shirt and cap, but they were purchased quite a while after the Rams' humiliation in Super Bowl LIII.

I admit to being a Jared Goff supporter during his two Pro Bowl seasons (2017 & '18) with our team, however to my recollection I was hardly alone back then. He was one of the major reasons that the Good Guys returned to contending status after over a decade of losing futility.

I've already conceded that I totally dislike it when the Rams lose, especially critical games, that has disappointed me greatly since the late 1960s. So yes, it does "fuel" my annoyance... :( :x

They actually don't allow this sort of thing to happen in the UK. (Soccer)

The home stadiums only allocate approx 15-30% of total seats to visiting supporters and there is a specific section within the stadium where they sit. (Segregated- mainly due to our history of violence between Soccer fans) but there are some occasions where some fan bases do mix.

Only a certain small allocation of seats are given to corporates within stadiums, but only for home seat allocations i.e they shouldn't be given to visiting fans but sometimes touts manage to get hold of a small number of them.

For a visiting supporter to be in a home section (during certain rivalries) is never a good idea, severely frowned upon and can often lead to crowd trouble.

It is never heard of that Season Ticket holders sell their seats for specific matches to visiting supporters. This is due to loyalty to the team. If seats don't get filled they lie empty for the majority of the time, however, that is quite rare in this day and age as Soccer is our most popular sport across the country going all the way from the Premier League right down to Non-League.

So in summary, home supporters will always have the biggest presence and voice at soccer matches and are often referred to as the 12th man on the field over here. It is definitely an advantage to the home team unless they completely suck playing the game.

Now of if 20,000 die hard s show up, that’s a lot. The rest are just drunken fools and fans of the other team who scored great seats from a corporate season ticket holder. You can blame California politics for most of this.
Thank you! California politics is a reflection of its citizens. Id go to every game if I lived in the area. I did get to attend the preseason game against Dallas in Hawaii a couple of years ago. 80% Cowboy fans at that game, but that is to be expected. A home game at their own stadium with that many visiting team's fans is not a good look. Some of you say what does it matter? Were the opposing fans a factor when we were up 17-0 or only in the second half? Just checking. The HFA isn't as big a deal anymore unless you're GB with the weather. Go look at the number of home losses the playoff teams had in both leagues. 8/14 had at least 3 home losses. A few with 4.
No, they weren't a factor at that time because the 49ers were getting beaten down. Then Coach McVay gave them life by calling a 3rd and 1 empty backfield pass play. If those 49er fans weren't there, then they wouldn't have been a factor at any time. I hate that Stafford said it was a factor, because in the end, the Rams have to make plays no matter the situation, but the fact is they were a factor, whether big or small, because they were there.

And I can tell you fans here in the "boroughs" are clamoring for a team. A real NEW YORK CITY team. People here not only fed up with Jets and Giants on-field performance they want one of them to move BACK to New York or drop New York from their name. A fanalready filed suit.

Maybe New York and Los Angeles can work out a deal and trade Kronke and the Rams for Mara's Giants. That way, the way the Giants play, it would warrant the empty seats. The only issue is the downgrade playing at Giants Stadium. Maybe New York would have to throw in a new stadium built in the middle of Central Park...lol.

Well last Sunday then if we did this here it would have meant half the stadium would of had no one sitting in seats…………

I am assuming this is season ticket holders selling their tickets to San Fran fans. So, the ownership already got their money. The question is why didn't the ticket holders want to go to that game? It was the Niners, the game meant something too.

More bees w honey, Mike.

I agree w you, in fact no one disagrees w you from the 3 threads going over the same thing that I have seen. But, remember, the fans in here are real fans and would go to any game we could, especially us So Cal guys... maybe just stop projecting or putting all of us in that box. I know thats not what you mean, because I think I know you well enough. But, it could read that way.

I know you are angry, NO ONE Liked the scene on Sunday...but like NorCal suggested... go grab your dog and take a walk over to prospect or gravesend park, and just dream about NEVER getting the Rams in Brooktown. ;) :D
“ But, remember, the fans in here are real fans and would go to any game we could, especially us So Cal guys...”

Again I get your situation. But everyone else in here that is down there were they there? Saying such is simply a bunch of talk……………

My last comment on this and I’m going to try to move on to Monday night unless I get a reply that I can’t resist responding to……………

I’m here in niner land. I know what has been said the last 48 hours. Yes I’d be lying if I didn’t say they were saying the Niners did it again to the Rams in the second half in regards to running the ball down their………….. But………..

They are also saying that wasn’t the same Ram team we saw earlier this year in the 1st half. That team in the first half had the Niners on the ropes. They also acknowledge the Rams, even with the second half that they had, drove 85+ yards to take the lead late. And…………

They credit JG and Samuel for going to tie the game late and then winning it in OT. I don’t mind you but they do. They are not placing the blame on the Rams but crediting their team. But to be Chrystal clear………….

They are absolutely mocking, laughing, saying told you so, and stating same old sorry bleep SoCal Rams fans. Couldn’t even show up for a 12-4 team with a division title at stake. They say they hate the Niners but come Sunday they were no where to be found. It is the fan base that they are blasting up here and deservingly so. And if you take your blinders off so is the rest of the country. Damn embarrassment period…………..

And again it appears you all don’t care. If you do then that stadium Monday night better be a sea of blue. It better be so loud that Murray won’t be able to hear what Kingsbury is saying into his helmet. It better be New Orleans in the NFC Championship Game when Goff couldn’t hear McVay and had to numerous times run to the sidelines to get the play from him……………

Question is will it………….
