TE Situation
Why am I seeing chatter on Ramswire saying we may be buyers of TE for a trade? Is it just more mindless chatter trying to create a headline? I think we are ok at TE this year, and I am sure others are with me when I say we need/want Ferguson to step up and start taking mare of a role. He was our top pick- now we gonna trade for a TE1? What is wrong with Ferguson if anything?

Re: TE Situation
More likely the same chatter that I read that had the rams in the market for a rb.
I haven't heard or read anything forum anyone replible, that the rams are looking at te.

Re: TE Situation
I agree I think it is nonsense chatter. Media to fill space………..
One can easily see that come next year it will be easy to cut Higbee n Parkinson and save on the cap and then bring in a 3rd TE via the draft or FA………….

Re: TE Situation
It could be accurate, Higs' contract is up and I believe they could get rid of Parkinson if they wanted to next season.

Re: TE Situation
They still have Allen and Ferg. Rams are ready to move on from both Higs and Park.
Rams could easily find a blocking te to compliment Allen and Ferg in 2026

Re: TE Situation
I think Allen is real good. He produces when targeted. Higbee gone next season is fine by me. The TE room will be fine. They mostly block anyway.

Re: TE Situation
The importance of a good blocking tight end can not be understated. I am not sold on Davis, I think he is a little slow footed. It will be interesting to see how Johnny Mundt and Hunter Long do against us this week (hopefully, not well).

I agree, Blocking tights end are important and the rams have been able to find one throughout the years. Mundt, Long and now Park.
Its the play making tight end that seems to elude the rams. 2022 and 2019 Higbee might be some of the best numbers I have seen from a rams tight end, since I started watching the rams mid 80s

Re: TE Situation
If you see any talk about a trade that does not involve cornerback or linebacker it is bs.

Re: TE Situation
Welcome.
It looks like right now they have $90m in cap space for 26. And if they cut him, Shelton, Darius Williams that adds another $17.5m to available cap……..
Leaves them in good shape IMO to extend Young, Turner, Nacua and resign Landman and Lake. None are going to be cheap to bring back. And we know who is eligible for extensions after the 26 season……..
They can even open up more space by cutting Dotson n Adams but I’m not sure I would do that…..

Re: TE Situation
At this early stage based on what we see on the field, I would let Adams go but keep Dotson. Adams may pick it up thoughNorCal RF wrote: ↑October 16th, 2025, 6:59 pmWelcome.

Re: TE Situation
Blocking is def important. But we did NOT draft Ferg for his blocking skills. It will be great to see another weapon if he ever gets out there.Cornell29 wrote: ↑October 16th, 2025, 2:33 pmI agree, Blocking tights end are important and the rams have been able to find one throughout the years. He played 37 percent of the snaps, last week. It will continue to increase as the season progresses.RAMFAN71 wrote: ↑October 17th, 2025, 5:38 amBlocking is def important.
