Starting LG Ben Bartch on IR after ankle injury vs. Saints.

It's really too bad SF is playing a bunch of shit teams and it doesn't get any harder with Jax this weekend.
I think the Jags beat them this week.. is this the week McCaffrey goes down?
Maybe and it very well could be. He and Trent Williams are playing on borrowed time. I don't think Purdy has seen the last of the blue tent either, especially with that OL.

3-0. Purdy back. The Rams have much tougher opponents.
They may have problems, but they are doing quite well.
The big difference is that, in a playoff run, they are far less capable of going far compared to the Rams.

They are the biggest fake 3-0 team out there and their cake schedule will catch up with them soon. There is no guarantee they beat the Jags and then they have the Rams and Bucs. They could easily be 3-3 in 2 weeks.

Also, Lynch just said there is "no timetable" for Aiyuk's return. Even if he comes back late in the season he won't be the same.

I agree with what you said about the playoffs. Even if they squeak through and get there they will get crushed by everyone else. I don't want them to make it but if they do I hope it's the Rams at Sofi.

And now Purdy is questionable against the Rams and Pearsall has a PCL injury and is also questionable. It's possible we face their 3rd string QB.

They are one loss closer to that possible 3-3 record :D

Mac Jones was removed from the injury report. So he is healthy and ready to go if Purdy cannot go.

I prefer to face a limping, off target Purdy, over healthy Mac Jones, but that's me.

Take a look at Mac Jones in his rookie year. He played well. Given the right team around him, I actually think he is better than Purdy.

Yeah me too. He looks better under Shanahan.
Another Jones. I wonder if an NFL team has ever faced 2 different Teams with QB's with the same last name, in 4 Days, ever before?

He might be but he also might get exposed for the young journeyman he is. He looked good against NO but they are 0-4 and he will now be facing one of the best defenses in the NFL with limited weapons.

I will become a believer if he beats the Rams but as of now I'm not worried about Mac Jones.

He may be wearing a knee brace that could impact his play a little. I don't wish injury on anyone, but I can wish for a bulky knee brace to keep him from getting injured. :D

My only concern is that 49ers seem to always be in our head. Just like Bama with UGA. Even on a bad day they figure out a way to beat us. I still think we should win by 10, but dang 49ers seem to play better and we seem to play worse against each other.

I understand the NDS but I think that's over now. It pretty much ended when we got Stafford because he doesn't get rattled like Goff. And actually, I think we are in their heads since the NFCCC. We've beaten them 3 times in a row.

Now if Mac Jones pulls a Jim Druckenmiller I'm gonna lose my shit but I think Mac Jones is in for a long night. The hype around him could come to a crashing halt Thursday Night.

I say some of that so I don't go into a dark hole if we get beat. ;-)

I know my opinion is complete opposite of most, but I think Mac Jones is better than Brock. He at least has a higher ceiling but no experience. Also, probably a lower floor. I hope he is running for his life tomorrow.

.....on a gimpy knee.

I'll go out on a limb and say we will turn Mac Jones back into the JAG he is.

Niners still have a weak ass schedule so the jury is still out but losing Bosa and Warner on D makes their chances of a playoff run a lot less likely.

Bosa had a torn ACL he isn't coming back this year. And Warner's injury was just gnarly....they both are done

I just dont get it..

No matter who goes down for the 9ers, their next man up's are unreal. Never have I seen a team w so many injuries hang in there. Sure, they lost yesterday... but come on, we can never stick a fork in them... we should know better and respect that coach. I mean, look at what Shanny is working with... yet, they have a winning record

Goodness, I hate the 49ers... But, have to respect them.

They are overworking McCaffrey so that is the next domino to fall. "His 24 touches put him at a whopping 154 for the year, on pace for 436 this season." IMO he goes down at some point. Also, there is drama with Jauan Jennings.

SF has ATL, Texans, Giants and Rams the next 4 games. They have a late season bye which doesn't help them.
