Other Games - Week 1

Post by DelMar »

Well, the Chargers sure seem for real.

Could it be a all CA SuperBowl and the battle of Los Angeles?

I'm looking forward to SF-SEA and hope they beat each other up. I hate both of these teams and one of them will drop to 0-1. A few years back this was my favorite rivalry.

Chiefs starters played in each of the preseason games and still Andy Reid said the team came out flat.

Its interesting, bc the Chiefs are one of the few teams that play their starters in each of the preseason games.

Another thing I noticed about last ngts Chiefs/Chargers game is how much better Herbert looked. And you can hate the man (Harbaugh), but we can’t deny the guy can coach.

Herbert looked more confident than ever last ngt, and I think this is what Harbaugh brings. Jim does this everywhere he goes (look it up).

Again, I’m not a big fan of Harbaughs Character. But the guy can flat coach. He’s finally showing Herbert who Herbert really is, I think. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Even though they lost today, they barely lost and they actually looked really good. I watched the entire game. Jets are a legit threat.

Yes, I said the Jets

Ravens RB Derek Henry has 10 carries for 126 yards, 1 play into the 2nd half. Buffalo has yet to make the Ravens punt or turn it over,
5 possessions 3 TDS 2 FGS. 27 -13 Baltimore, 2 minutes into Q 3
Bills D will be their Achilles Heel!

Ravens have had 5 running plays and 5 passing plays over 20 yards each so far tonight. Derek Henry is looking like Shaqon did last year with the break away TDS. Bills are pathetic on D. 41 points. still 12 minutes left. 5 TD drives of 3:41 or less. Big play after big play. Looks like Alabama vs Alcorn State...

Damn if the Bills didn't come back and win 41-40. Unbelievable, 16 points in the final 3:56. 22 in the 4th quarter.

Looks like neither can play D. 81 points and 930 total yards, 48 1st downs combined. Probably 20 chunk plays.

Not so long as they continue to get matchups against a choking opponent with a fumbling-away-the-game RB... :? :( :x

Yeah no shit. A fumble late decided a few games today. Seattle, Houston, Baltimore, Atlanta and Tennessee all turned it over late and lost.
The lack of defense from 2 supposed SB contenders is eye opening. Or are those 2 Offenses are just lights out w/o any pre-season reps?

From ESPN

It was the Ravens' first loss in franchise history when scoring at least 40 points in a game (25-1).

no doubt the fan should not have done that but no way in hell should your starting QB get into it with a fan. granted not a big deal but it could have gotten ugly

that game last night showed off 2 really good offenses IMO. Darnold did not look good and Niners got freakin lucky. Purdy threw that ball up in the end zone and the backup TE made a very good catch. Not sure what the DB was thinking on that play

Yeah I'll say they were lucky. On the game sealing TO credited to Bosa, as Darnold reared his arm back to throw, the ball hit his own O-Lineman in the back and knocked it out of his hand. It looked like the RB he was throwing to was wide open and coulda scored. 9ers didn't create it like Landman did for us. I wasn't impressed with either team, we looked better than both. 9ers lost another WR, J. Jennings as well.

Ummmm, "outside the fumble," do you mean the fumble that quite likely ended up costing his team the game?

As the game wore on and the Ravens' situation became increasingly critical during the fourth quarter, the guy pretty much simply disappeared, didn't he...??  :?:

Commish they lost the game because their defense absolutely sucked. If Henry didn't go off they would never have been in the game. I would also argue this game is on Harbaugh because he would not allow Lamar to throw the ball. His play calling at the end of the game was awful.
So who disappeared Henry? Go back and look at the tape the Bills were putting 8 guys in the box.
