Any crazy theories on why Chris Paul got cut?

I will start with pure conjecture......"he said or did something like he missed curfew at the end of camp". Had a "me" not "we" attitude that rubbed McVay wrong and Shula could not lobby around this. Also, wasn't Chris wearing the "Green Dot" the last pre-season game-leadership-not learning the defensive plays?????? (this was one of Sean Dolac's strength-picking up the whole playbook fast).

If he is not on PS -this is even a stronger indication and again this is pure speculation but I wonder why he went from the "shinning light in camp"-per Shula to cut a few weeks later?

Why the shape-shifting at the end of camp?

I think McVay was honest about the fact that he would have been a back-up and Reeder and Dolac provided much more on special teams, which can not be overlooked.

Paul got caught sending dick pics to McVay's wife, or stared at her a little to long when she was on the sideline during practice. She is fairly attractive.

Maybe Chris Paul wasn’t the player people thought he was. He was drafted by the Rams in the 5th round so he wasn’t exactly a hot commodity to start. Every team had a chance to claim him in waivers and they passed. The Rams never offered him a practice squad spot so he signed with the Seahawks who claimed a LB from the 49ers cuts. So basically the Rams chose Neal for the practice squad over Paul and the Seahawks chose to claim Surrat from the Niners for their 53 and after that decided to add Paul to their practice squad. Not exactly a great endorsement from a team that also claimed Derrion Kendricks from the Rams cuts.

I have no issue with what you have said. I just question they made that decision after just 4 months at a clear position of weakness. Hell our best ILB last year was a UDFA. We were 22nd in rush defense last year giving up an average of over 130 yards per game n that was regular season. We don’t need to be reminded of the 285 in Philly in………

I get no one else claimed him. But he didn’t have a bad preseason and JMO he would have been a low risk to put him on the PS.

Paul was a leader and a stud at Arkansas, then he bailed for Mississippi in his Senior season. I attributed it to NIL BS and not some character flaw.

Now I wonder if there is more going on behind the scenes.

Let's see how he does with the Hawks.
