Rams vs. Cowboys Preseason Opener: Rookies and Bubble Players Take Center Stage

Post by GlendoraRam »

The Los Angeles Rams launch their 2025 preseason tomorrow against the Dallas Cowboys at SoFi Stadium, with kickoff set for Saturday, August 9, at 4:00 PM PT (6:00 PM CT). True to head coach Sean McVay’s approach, the Rams will rest their starters, placing the spotlight firmly on rookies and players fighting for roster spots. With the starters on the sidelines, this Week 1 exhibition is a critical audition for unproven talent vying for the 53-man roster. Here’s what to watch on the Rams’ side, highlighting the 2025 rookie class and bubble players, including undrafted linebacker Shaun Dolac, rookie defensive tackle Ty Hamilton, and wide receiver Konata Mumpfield.

Good article, thanks.

I will throw KT Leveston in there too. I've read in 2 different places that he is now listed as an OG. I was hoping he would become a swing tackle and maybe leapfrog McClendon as our future RT. If they only see him as an OG he might be in trouble because we are a lot deeper on the interior than OT.

I also hope Dedich and McMahon become established backups in their second year. I like Dedich and I noticed McMahon was first off the bench last year. Still, I wouldn't rule out an UDFA OL making the 53.

Does Stafford's back mean Bennett has a guaranteed spot? With all the glowing reports the heat maybe off.

The Rams would be wise to keep 3 QB’s this season. Backs are tricky and can flare up anytime. Hell, I hurt my back stepping off the curb. I am in shape, I hit the gym everyday. One little twist and pop!!
