Consecutive Draft Results

Post by Slickjack »

Assuming this year pans out, has there ever been a time the Rams have drafted this well? The UDFA talent acquistion has been beyond impressive too. With two first rounders next year, we have a chance to really cash in on those too. Having all of these good young players puts in a great cap position too, but I wonder if the F... them picks philosophy will reappear at the deadline.

Ram drafts of the 1970's were awfully good.

I agree the past few drafts have been amazing. I think the F those picks philosophy will return after our next draft because our great draft picks will be coming to 2nd contract time almost annually. We save money not having to pay 1st rounders and can still continue to build a team with vets trading them away to go with our young talent.

Slickjack not trying to be an ass hat but based on what? Are you getting this assessment from camp? Their college play? I hope it is true, but with out play in NFL game how do we know?

look at how the Lions were able to rebuild. I think this is the same with the Rams. Very important draft coming up in 2026. If McSnead can hit a HR this team will be set for the next 3-5 yrs

I think it really depends on who is available. The average success of 1st round draft picks is still pretty pathetic. I have confidence in our evaluation process that the success rate will be higher than average. Still, sometimes a sure thing is better than the next potential superstar. Doesn't seem to be such a thing as "can't miss" prospect.

Your right, we don't know about this class yet but I feel like they filled some very important voids, such a TE, LB and "The Cheetah". Since my son attends (soon my daughter too) attends Ole Miss, I have seen Chris Paul play a lot as well as Jarquez Hunter. I was talking more about the success of the last two classes.
