Rams wanted him. We moved up in the draft to pick him. The trade worked out very well for him. Not sure why he felt unwanted especially after the Rams extended him.

I will always like Goff a humble winner who helped turn a shit team into a Superbowl contender. The Rams always under appreciated Goff.

Just as I will always dislike Samantha Bradford, over-appreciated by the Rams FO and most fans too. Helped this team to stay a shit, mid-ling team. I would be a rich man for every time some Ran fans said “If she only had more weapons”.

Yes I will always have a soft spot for Goff.. so much so that the Lions have become my de facto 2nd fav team in the NFC.

Both teams won in that trade for sure although I still think that fundamentally Goff will not get them a SB win.

Exactly! Odd the unwanted statement. IMO something deeper between Goff and Front Office or Mcvay?

This is a new show that comes out soon. I guess, even after all these years, Goff is still upset and decided to talk about how Mcvay didnt make him feel wanted.

It’s just one of the most immature and stupid comments to come out of Jared’s mouth. Rams gave away the World to draft him, then gave him a MASSIVE contract BEFORE he was even due to have an extension… yet wasn’t wanted?

No Jared, you just didn’t fit in McVays system as you got figured out. After that Super Bowl where you and Gurley and our OL let us all down, then the season thereafter where you dwindled… it was time to get a QB who could handle the complex offense Sean puts out.

Just so stupid to hear Jared say this. It’s a business. You didn’t fit the system any longer. Get over it.

Oh and I agree, time we moved on… but give Cornell a break here, he simply posted a comment that will be in the news again (thanks to unwanted Jared’s comment), so fair game to comment imo. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think Jared can't get those throws Staff made to Kupp with the Game on the line out of his head. He knows deep down inside he can't CONSISTENTLY make those throws or bring the Rams back like Staff and Kupp did for the W's, late in the games, 3X in those playoffs against quality teams.
I'll bet he also sees that the Lions window is closing, while the Rams are looking like they may make another run with Staff. 8-) ;)

Exactly! If you're not intertested in a particular NFL-related topic, simply skip it and leave the discussion to any of those posters who *are* interested.

As for Jared Goff, I wish him the best of luck unless the Lions are facing our team. Right now the guy is 2-1 as a starting QB vs. the Rams, who will hopefully even up that brief series on December 14th... :? ;) 8-)

RAM SEASON!!

Actually stating why are we talking about this, move on, is an opinion and is one expressing freedom of speech. But when one only defines freedom of speech how they see it………………..

Oh I forgot IMFO!

There's only one definition of freedom of speech, I don't care what your ego tells you!
No opinion allows you to fuck with it either.
We've been here before because it's always you in the middle of this BS.

They didn't draft a C either and it appears they currently only have 2 on the roster, 1 with 5 years experience, basically as a back up and another going into their 2nd year.

arguably the most important position on the OL. Yes I realize LT is important but Ragnow was the rock of that line. Huge loss

Agreed, if they don't get that fixed I could see tough times for their QB. Their whole offense really. Plays get blown up all the time against the good ones, imagine how often w/o one.
Look at what Limmer cost us in the Divisional Round,,, maybe the SB.

Did Goff roll out on a broken play, head toward the sideline to assumably step out of bounds and then decide to throw the ball away back into the field of play and get picked all while inside the 20 ready for a Rams score? Did that play happen? Was it a playoff game?

Nothing better than a Rams win, but a Niner loss comes pretty close.

BINGO - I truly believe that was the moment that McVay decided he was at the end of the road with Goff. Game that decided the NFC West in 2020. One possession game, in FG range, and he just goes brain dead and does the ONE thing you can't do there. That was the year that Goff "hurt his thumb" and Wolford started the WC game at Seattle (again.) Ironically, Goff came in in relief and led them to a win. Only be to blitzed by the Packers the next week.

People can like Goff and cheer for him...but he dug his own grave in LA. Too many big mistakes in big games for a guy like McVay to continue to hitch his wagon to.

I remember that play well. Troy Akiman was on the broadcast when Goff tossed that int, he said, “it doesn’t get any worse than that”.

Here’s another quote.
