Re: 2025 Schedule
It almost has to be Washington. That was the NFC Championship game.Commish wrote: ↑May 9th, 2025, 7:33 pm Teams most likely to face the Eagles in the league's 2025 season opener, from my perspective:
{1} Lions
{2} Commanders
{3} Rams
{4} Cowboys
{5} Giants
All of the Eagles' probable top AFC opponents (Chiefs, Bills, Chargers) will be played in away games for them; their home interconference matchups will be against the Broncos and Raiders.
Thus I'm figuring that they'll face either another '24 NFC division champion or a divisional rival... 8-):geek:

Re: 2025 Schedule
This whole international game thing is for the birds. What a joke. Grow the game other ways, not killing players with jet lag... not like this is F1.
Look at Minnesota... I would be super annoyed if the Rams had to go over there for 2 weeks during the season.

I believe the end goal is to eventually have the NFL expand to Europe. Can you imagine the travel nightmare!!

Thats just it, it simply wont work the way it's set up now. Players would have a much smaller shelf life. Have you seen what long flights do to a body over time?
I think the only way this truly works and has ANY shot of being a success ... is to build an entirely new division over there. Get 4-5 teams set (London, Dublin, Berlin and either another England location or Madrid). Then, if that is a success then, do a whole new division in South America in 15 years. Who knows...
But for now... Im w BIG Chuck here....

Re: 2025 Schedule
First I agree the oversea games suck.
I’ve mentioned this before a few years back but yes at one time Goodell’s long term goal was to have a division overseas. Probably still is. My brother before he passed was VP for a Corporation that for years was a corporate sponsor with the NFL. He was heavily involved with the London game each year and had significant communication with a few in the NFL Marketing Department.
He was told it wouldnt be that complicated. Teams here matched up with that division would just play over there in back to back weeks for those 2 road games. Teams over there would come state side for 3 weeks to play 3 of their 6 roads games outside of the division. They would do it twice. Once early n once late in season. The plan was to build full complex’s on the east n west coast that would house the Europe teams while stateside. Same would be built over there for teams here.
If still a goal then they would just address the 17th game…………….

Re: 2025 Schedule
Make it Saints vs Rams and I'm good.
The last time the rams started the season vs a non playoff contender (Bears), they won the SB.
A easy week 1 game to knockoff off the rust.

Re: 2025 Schedule
Raiders hired an old coach and old owner back...
Should be an interesting movie. Non the less, this has nothing to do w scheduling what so ever. This post is more of a bridge to pass the time as we count the seconds till our schedule release tonight.
Texans as our potential first game..... hmmm, not thrilled. But what a test it will be. CJ and that team is no joke

Early season will be tough. If Rams starters are not fresh and game ready we won't beat Texans. No slow start. Maybe preseason change?

Re: 2025 Schedule
I am not being critical. But do you think it is realistic to sweep the NFC west, with exception of meaningless week 18 (I hope). If yes then Rams would be Superbowl contenders. Also Texan game is worrisome.DelMar wrote: ↑May 14th, 2025, 3:53 pm Way tooooo Early projections by yours truly... what say you, and why?

Welp, I am glad you asked and I like it that you are being critical, you are a realist and that is appreciated. No room for homers here... to answer your question... YEP... l I sure do think we sweep the NFCW and here is why...
• Seattle is in total rebuild mode. Rams will run circles around them. We just own them. I am very confident.
• Arizona, yes they should be somewhat improved, but that does not matter. We are a better team, only way we lose one of these games is if we beat ourselves. We have to be on point of course, but I am not worried about this series as well
• San Francisco... of course, this is the biggest question mark for us. what Rams and Niners teams show up? Both teams should be good to go, being that we first see them week 5. BUT, week 10, it is going to rough... I said we win it, because I think the 9ers give us a game, but I am just that confident in our Rams this season.
I have watched this team (like all of us in here) very closely since they moved back home to LA... and my feeling is that this Rams squad is the best one we have fielded overall in decades. I mean it, something special about this team this year. We just need to start smart, fast and healthy. Last year, we were morons for the first 5 games, we looked awful as we played musical chairs w our OL... but we finally cracked that code and I think this season, we got it figure out. We can use some depth, but I have no real complaints w this team, (I do have questions on the CB and LB group) but I think we figure those out, early.
I agree, Texas game is concerning... if they come out hot and we look like we are back to trying to figure ourselves out, we'll absolutely be the ones standing on the fields w our D%cks in our hands. But, I think we wont be like that. I think we come out w all cylinders firing. Starters may need sometime to get back into the groove, since they dont play in preseason much... but, we shall see. But I agree, Texas week 1 and Niners week 10 are my biggest concerns.
