Latest update on Falcons prank call to Shedeur Sanders

The Atlanta Falcons said Sunday that defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich’s son was responsible for a prank call made to Cleveland Browns draft pick Shedeur Sanders, Charles Odum of The Associated Press reports.

In the call, Jax Ulbrich identified himself as New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis and told Sanders he had been drafted by the Saints before ending the call.

this is a terrible story. some people this this was funny, I for one do not. These kids work their whole lives for this moment and to have this punk who was probably drunk do this is inexcusable. It's a total embarrassment to the Ulbrich family. His dad should make him in person apologize to Sanders.

NFL sent Shedeur Sanders's phone number directly to Jeff Ulbrich.

The NFL sent a separate email after the "confidential" memo was distributed. The email was, for some reason, sent to all of the recipients of the NFL's daily transaction report. That group includes all coaches and assistant coaches.

In other words, the NFL sent the email to Ulbrich. PFT has obtained the email. It does not use the word "confidential."

The email, sent on April 23 to "All Waivers [NFL League]" said this: "Sheadeur [sic] Sanders has informed the NFL Player Personnel Department that he has a new cell phone number beginning today." The email then identifies the new number.
