The draft gurus have us drafting one of these guys. What’s your thoughts?

Re: Hampton or Loveland?
On Cowherd today, Joel Klatt mentioned that the Rams like 3 guys - Hampton, Loveland, and Egbuka...said we would move up for Hampton.
Hampton reminds me of Eric Dickerson, only a bit more of a bruiser. I'm not sure how much draft capital it would take to move up to around #11 or wherever they feel the need to trade up to, but I don't like going down that road.
Loveland would also be a guy we would likely need to trade up to get. Fortunately, there appears to be a lot of teams that want to trade back so this is a definite possibility.
I believe we can get Egbbuka if we just stay at 26. I don't think we really need a WR - in fact I would say we're stacked at WR - Puka, Adams, Tutu, Whittington, and Smith.
But Egbuka is a stud, professional quality, good guy from what I've heard. If he's the BPA, so be it!

Re: Hampton or Loveland?
I would not trade up to get Loveland. this is a deep TE draft be patient and you will get a solid TE in the 3rd round.
I love Hampton but I still think the Rams need to focus on D with the 1st pick

Re: Hampton or Loveland?
That seems logical (as does OT)...but I think (as do many others) that the Rams are VERY close to being a Super Bowl caliber team. If Snead/McVay think we're 1 offensive toy away...sure, why not? Don't forget - although the Rams defense (particularly ILB and CB) wasn't great early, the D as a whole really played well towards the end of the year, save Barkely running all over us twice. Still, we came VERY close in that playoff game, in the snow, away from home, and driving towards the goal line. The D is VERY young and should improve a good amount this year.

Re: Hampton or Loveland?
WTF is all this chatter about moving UP....let alone going RB in round 1? No f$#@% way. I am personally done giving high value to the RB spot....albeit could be some freak who is a cut above. That spot is all about the OL and total offensive package. We are NOT in any way in need of a stud RB. Am I crazy? Sure, add a RB. But not with a high pick. Come on.

Yeah, well...you know how this goes: The Rams (as much as it pains us) do not value ILB, and they can always get their 5'9" CB in round 3 or 4.

It's chatter that wasn't started by us here...it's actually being reported in the media - buy you know how that works - take it for what it's worth.
