Master Gameplan 49ers
Hopefully they do these things
Offense:
1. Run the quick pitch to Akers out of shotgun
2. Attack the edges running, especially in the heavy 6 lineman formations(pull someone) the extra lineman does not give you leverage in the middle, it only gives you leverage on the edge if you scheme it right
3. Pass out of the heavy 6, take deep shots, these fuckers are bringing 8-9 in the box(Shanny knows McVay is trying to flex his muscles and impose his will)
4. Stafford has to have 2-3 designed runs like Goff had at times
5. get Staff off the mark, he needs to roll out
6. more OBJ slants from shot gun
7. play action fakes on first down, you can't do it on 2nd& 3rd with long distances, again Shanny believes the Rams are trying to force the run game(you can tell by their defensive formations)
Defense:
1. defend the run with extra linebackers(ROTATE HOWARD,JONES?, REEDER, HOLLINS) not more lineman, we tend to run too horizontal with 5 lineman and two lbers, we also have penetrating style DL AD and Gaines, we need to run 4 DL, 3 linebackers and bring a safety into the box, force JG to throw deep edge passes, but takeaway the short ones, clog the crossing route lanes, he cannot throw a deep out, even if he gets lucky, I'll roll the dice on accuracy or their protection holding up
2. defend the edge, sure they run between the tackles but their bread and butter is the edge, Raheem plays the corners off, we have two lbers(one is Reeder so he's slow laterally) and Floyd gets crushed on edge runs
3. blitz Reeder up the A gaps, its the only thing he does really well
4. ROTATE THE DL
5. Burgess>>Rapp
