To the point where the team would rather sign Eric Weddle

I'm assuming Weddle is cover for Rapp if he doesn't clear concussion protocol? If he doesn't we'd likely start Scott and Burgess with Weddle subbing in a little? Weddle won't play every down, not even close.

I think Weddle is an insurance policy. Not much on the practice squad. This is where Les Snead's staffing plan comes up short. We have stars but we are thin, especially on the Defensive back 7.

You don't know what you have til you have them. They need grooming and coaching. Especially later round guys. The ILB position we drafted guys. They just never panned out. Same think with E. Jones. Hopefully he pans out. Kenny young was not good.
