Not rushing to extend him is sounding better and better at this point.

I don’t think I’m making an excuse here because there has been holes in Staffords play.

I don’t think he’s made any of the signature deep throws look all that great, even the few he completed like the ones to Djax were under thrown.

I’ve seen a lot of Stafford throws last year and the year before where his deep bowl was flawless I don’t know if I’ve seen one flawless deep ball this year

The first few games he looked much better in the pocket than he has in the last few even under pressure.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he was hurt, that’s not an excuse that’s a criticism, Not his fault but definitely a defect in his overall profile.

We have to wait and see, two or three good games will go along way in rehabbing any players reputation. But we have to remember this is not a Goff versus Stafford kind of thing it’s a Goff and two first round picks vs Stafford, so Stafford needs to be much much better

Stafford can be great, but he is still an old guy in the NFL profile. Not everyone is Brady or Manning. If the Rams win the Super Bowl it was a great trade. If not? Get ready for a long dry spell.
